I really have a bad feeling how our QB level of play is going to be this year. I just can’t feel optimistic about any of them.

It’s not being condescending, it’s being realistic. Brennan received 3 reps with the 1s today at the very end of the scrimmage. At this point, it’s clear he isn’t in the running to start.

You keep bringing up the receivers we have and suggesting we must throw the ball constantly to take advantage of them. We’ve consistently had fantastic WRs and run offenses straight out of the 80s with them. Regardless who we put behind center, we are going to spread it out and take advantage of our talent at WR; just because Daniels can also use his legs, doesn’t mean the WRs are going to suffer. We don’t need to throw the ball 50-60 times a game just because we have talented WRs.

Just curious, honest question. How/where did you find he got 3 reps?
And of those 1/3 reps, he threw a 40 yard Touchdown to Thomas??

It was an open practice, reporters got to see every rep.

it’s like a Presidential debate….sometimes you let the other guy talk ..so that he’ll say something stupid

Reading between the lines of Coaches Kelly and Dembrock, I'm leaning towards it being Daniels. They've often said they like a runner, dual threat at QB... I love Brennan but I don't think he can sense the pocket very well. But he's got a cannon for an arm and is very accurate. An interesting QB battle, for sure.

I just have the feeling that Myles enjoys being the #2 guy

Im just hoping that our O Line doesn't have the same issues as the last 2 seasons. If they're not a LOT better we may end up needing all 3 QBs this year.

It’s in the advocate article someone linked.

Is Thomas running with the first team?

Where in the tweet does it conflict with that? You’re literally imagining things to support your favoritism.

Daniels went 14/19 with one of his throws dropped and scrambled twice
Doesn't exactly sound like bad reps

like who? I’m interested in reading different takes because the advocate article appears to disagree with OTOP.

The advocate article sucks though:

quote:

Though he missed some throws and appeared to rely on his first read

quote:

He rarely forced anything, relying on check-downs when needed

So does Daniels rely on his first read or his check downs?

People bashing Brennan because after the post said he was doing great looking of the defense better and throwing more accurate, then they mention “but held it longer”. Even though the other QB took more sacks.

Sounds like Brennan had a great day.
