Other than Burrow and JD when has the portal ever worked out for us

People placing their hope in the xfer portal need to pump the breaks. Struck lightning in a bottle with those two, I have yet to see it pan out for us in any significant way. Re: especially defense
The weeks brothers were a nice win, but let’s be honest they’re not winning us championships.

Lacy was a good addition from the portal. So was Bernard-Converse in 2022.

I mean if your definition of working out is winning a Heisman, yeah nobody has worked out. There have been numerous transfers that were solid contributors though.

Burrow and JD are the once in a while portal pick ups. Others have mentioned pretty good players we have gotten from the portal. Aaron Anderson is a player I can think of as a good addition from the portal.

You have to remember that many LSU fans only have a memory that goes back 2 weeks, at most.
That 2022 team was carried for much of the season by the defense. Guys like Wingo, Brooks, Garner, Foucha, Bernard-Converse were key players in making a .500 team 9-3 in year one.

Aaron Anderson. Miles Frazier.

His breaking up the TD pass from Bryce Young early in the '22 Bama game was pivotal.

I don't know, but LSU has done well with transfer QBs. Even Mett and Etling were alright.

You can add Kyren Lacy, Aaron Anderson, CJ Daniels (before injury), and that's just this year alone for the offense.

He played in 12 games that year, started 5

Did you even try to do your own research before posting? Woeful take.

Burrow was technically before the portal began, he was a grad transfer. Grad transfers have been a thing for a long time.
