This could still get ugly for Ed before it's over.
My question is: Why? Isn’t she just alleging “harassment?” I don’t know the details, but aside from Guice being a creep and saying something like “I would like to frick you” or whatever, that’s not illegal. He is not in a position of power over her. They don’t work together. And as far as I know he didn’t put his hands on her. So aside from a really bad look, I’m trying to determine what the real legal issue is. I mean it’s fricked up from a moral standpoint, but it isn’t illegal from what I know. Of course I am sure I am ignorant of all the facts.

I agree! I can walk up to any woman add grab my crotch and say I want to frick you! I'm pretty sure I would be labeled as a creep but I doubt one would be arrested for that! I hate to say she's looking for pay day but...

The only way this could potentially put Ed Orgeron's job at risk is if they prove he lied to the husch blackwell people. That's a big if and even then, idk that he would get fired for it.

When you put that together it establishes a pattern of sexual assault/rape by Guice, Coach O's knowledge of that pattern, and a decision by him to not do anything about it. From the outside looking in, it would appear that he was complicit and sweeping it under the rug.

You don't think Orgeron potentially covering up his involvement of covering up sexual misconduct to an investigation firm hired by LSU to investigate mishandling of sexual misconduct is an issue?

An issue? Yes. But cause for termination? That's a little murky given that the only thing we are talking about here, even if true, is whether O had a convo with this lady. All of the more serious allegations against Guice were (I believe) made known to the University.

O calling this woman, and Guice not being disciplined for this specific action isnt a big deal, and wouldnt lead to any real discipline from O
But if it turns out he freaking lied to the investigators hired to clean up this mess, he is toast
Hence why the coverup is worse than the actual crime

There is no way he would remember the incident and not remember calling lady. He should have never said “I didn’t call her” unless that’s the truth
