Holy shite this is freaking awful. I was convinced without watching the game that it was simply the scheme and predictability of our offense causing the OL issues (8 or 9 in box) but these videos are unbelievable. Atrocious blocking.

This is why I am not so quick to blame Harris. Even tom Brady suffers under constant pressure. I'm not saying Harris is great, but he's not the only cause of our failure

Malone looked slower than I thought. On the screen why is pocic goin low? I get they were hanged up but there should be some adjustments made personnel wise. U telling me chiki would've been worse ? Horrible play and out HC has his hands all over the Oline. I hope brum and chiki get a shot this week to see if they can perform better.

I remember that screen play vividly. I thought it was going to go a long way, let alone get the first down. but then Boutte ran backwards for no reason and took himself out of the play, and Pocic and Clapp tackled the grass.
3 blockers against 1 linebacker and the linebacker won.
Story of the game.

Many people feel this way. It's Grimes' though. The line play was just fine when Stud was in charge of it.

For the most part anyway.

Ok I mean, it's not good footwork, but he does manage to block that DE for a little bit and pushes the DE far enough outside to create a pocket for BH to step up into.

I'm just trying to see a silver lining here.

It's hopeless. This cannot be fixed.

FWIW - This is what an Aranda "Defense" is supposed to do. Have some O linemen standing around while the rest are out numbered! not only did Wisky DLs and Lbs beat ours guys with speed and technique, they out schemed/confused us too.

So now we can't be sure if it's the dogshit scheme, as in year's past, or simply dogshit play. Some of these OL are new but it's still the same exact offense LSU has ran for years and all these guys should know their assignments by now. Plus they should all be talented enough to play well, considering this is LSU and recruiting is supposedly top notch.

Better clean house to be sure we get to the problem.

Got damn the screen play was bad. Three players and they only need to block one guy and it goes for a good gain

Yep.

And it will happen. Wisky was better prepared than anyone for it and we still had a very good game defensively besides some tackling woes. First game in a new scheme.

I thought so too, but if you look closely, that's not the case.

Clapp slipped and tripped his guy.

Wow! Good analysis. I didn't realize how poorly coached they really are.

It's such a shame LSU football has come to this level of ineptitude.

I remember the screen play. There is a good chance LF scores if blocks are made. I espicially remember Boutte looking for someone to block behind LF. That one play sums up the offense.

Sure puts those reports of Valentine being "unblockable" in camp in perspective. Maybe we didn't even try to block him.

It's both. The scheme was always a problem, but the line used to play well enough to mask it, more often than not.

Now, the line play highlights it. LSU is double fricked.

The only justification I can come up with for poor ole head hunter is he panicked and thought he was illegally downfield so he quickly ran upfield.

UW LB Jack Cichy races unblocked

I am pretty sure we had rushed to the line with less than 10 seconds on the play clock and snapped with 1 second or less left...making it easy for the lb to jump the snap count and impossible for the oline to pick up the blitzer
