How is that the team "unraveling because of O's leadership?"

Other than Parish, what happened to the other 3 freshmen QB's that were on the roster last year?

His biggest mistake was not figuring out a way to get some players to come back this year and take pride in our university.

please show me the coaches handbook that details how to discuss staying in school in the midst of an unprecedented global pandemic on the heels of winning a national championship.

Rantards/Negatigers are as bad, if not worse, than sky screaming Democrats/Never Trumpers.

It is his lack of leadership. His inability to find a top notch dc, his inability to keep players on the roster, his idiocy in stating that the defense was way better than at any time last year. It demonstrates that at least on these points he got it completely wrong.

Well Bama has zero opt outs and several 1st and second round guys coming back for their senior year. Some how Saban figured out a way. And even after a a NC year he still has guys come back, so don’t give that bs

I'm not denigrating Orgeron but I think there is much to be said about that statement

LOL O had 2x as many players drafted. We also didn't have to start a freshman this year because Myles got kicked off the team.

Any QB we would have other than MB would have had as much game experience as Max and TJ.

Yup, and the reason why is they have a chance to win a natty.

That's why the elite reload and the rest rebuild.

Well had everyone that didn’t get a 1st or 2nd round grade came back and we had no opt outs, we would have had a shot at a title also.

Maybe.... Players drafted last year..LSU 14, Ohio State 10, Alabama 9. You see what Alabama is doing, and they say OSU will possibly have the best roster in their history.

So Saban didn't have a shitty defense full of freshman last year cuz of people leaving early? injuries aren't an excuse according to this thread cuz a coach like Saban would have a backup plan.

Everyone makes bad hires, look at Saban's current DC situation.

Inability to keep players on the roster? What are you even talking about?

Making a dumb statement isn't a "lack of leadership" or "the team unraveling." Actually there is no proof at all that the team is unraveling because of O's "lack of leadership."

LSU hasnt recruited at the level of other two consistently long enough to even be in the same conversation.

I agree with your the sky isn't falling sentiment but this is a bad point.

Clemson got to the top with recruiting classes ranked around 15. Sure they are rolling now but that is a relatively new thing for them.

LSU consistently has top 5 classes give or take a couple of spots and there is almost no discernable difference in production from the players in a number 1 class to the players in a number 5 class. Not to mention we just won it all without "recruiting to their level".

A good point however is that O had a hard time recruiting the 2018 class because of the rough start to 2017 and the media narrative that he was destined to fail. Once he showed that the program could compete with him at HC in 2018, the recruiting has been better than ever. So I will concede that until proven otherwise, this is a very temporary problem created by a complete whiff of a recruiting class.

Is that why they had so many true freshmen starting on defense last year even though Saban has recruited better than Orgeron for longer?

Some of the problems you people want fixed are problems that effect literally every team, ours have just been exacerbated by the pandemic, losing an abnormal of players after one of the greatest seasons ever, and the shitty 2018 recruiting class.

His biggest mistake was hiring Bo Pelini.
