So you're making the logical assumption that he will fail at LSU?

What other logical conclusion could anyone come up with?

It's funny the same posters are in every thread, EVERY thread. Just like Democrats, they lost, and won't give up the fight, even though it is for the good of everyone. Don't worry, when fans see the upcoming brand of Lsu football...they will be sold. As for the groupees, bengal18, broski, Brazos, sport tiger, Rick, nitwit, etc...they will deserve what they get. One thing to state your concerns, another entirely to constantly bash with same shite every day. What's done is done, embrace it or gtfo. It's not going to change. I can't stand punks that make dramatic showings, then slither into their holes when things go against what they preach.

Ya know KE, most of the time, you're kind of a dick but I gotta agree with this.
Now Rick will say (with great enthusiasm) that this is the same treatment that Miles got during his tenure, not realizing that Miles provided plenty of ammo for criticism...most of which was thrown his way after he would step on his pecker.

I've never seen this much discontent from a segment of the fan base before the first full season of a new coach's tenure. Miles never got THIS much before his first season.

I understand his dismal record and all...but blame the admin for overlooking the shitestain he made at Ol Miss.
If he fails, we will def be reaping what we sow.

Just a history lesson for those who are still scraping placenta out of their ears:

Gene Stallings won a national championship at Bama...a truly crappy Bama before he arrived, and his college record was an amazing 27–45–1. But, guess what, he went home to a place he loved.

Yea maybe....but not in the SEC. would be more convinced if they had coached somewhere in our conference.

I've never really understood this line of thinking. Everyone on here feels the SEC is the best conference (top to bottom) in American, as do I, but if a coach has a great record in a weaker conference than the SEC, playing weaker opponents than SEC teams, why couldn't said coach, do great things at LSU with better athletes?

After all, coaching is coaching is coaching no matter the conference. If you're a winner, you're a winner. Just my opinion.

So disproven in the SEC > proven in the acc or big12....got it!

They are not tops on my list either, but it follows a normal transistion of a coach privubg himself at a small school then moving to a big time program.

Oh frick! Every poster that has expressed concerns about this upcoming season has gotton under your skin Kristy. Didn't matter what the concern was or how it was worded. You jumped in with the insults like the poster had just slapped you in the mouth.

I can respect this.....but on the other side of the coin.....if you're a loser (O at OM), then are you always a loser???

See I choose to believe O has changed and can't possibly be as bad as he was at OM...I mean, the odds have got to be staggeringly against it!

Does anybody really believe we're going to win just 3 games this season? If so, search out and get the lobotomy you desperately need.

Maybe but you're throwing this out as if it was a given either of these guys would have succeeded here. There's just no way to know.

Not in my opinion. Although I do understand the posters that are voicing their concerns over his record at Old Miss.

Know Red, that's not how you spell that word in that context. At least I don't think it's right. Truth be told, I don't really no.

I think he was a great pick up after Alleva couldn't get Jimbo or Tom. Alleva is a woman what do you expect.

No doubt about that. But it's about limiting risk.

And I could probably name 25 coaches who went from successful small school coach to winning an NC at a big time program.

You can not name one coach that started off as bad as O and went on to win an NC.

The risk is incredible. But it COULD work. I hope it does No doubt.

25 is obviously hyperbole especially considering you have to go back quite a ways to just get 25 coaches that have won a NC
