When my being proven wrong means LSU wins eleven games, you can bet I will be happy!

You don't like position coaches with no history of head coaching?

No, I don't, but then O has a HC history. Problem is, his history was about as bad as it gets.

I guess you don't like Dabo Sweeney either

Did Clemson play in three NCGs and be top three in wins the 15 years before his hire?

Thing is, that was an ok gamble for Clemson at that time in their programs history. LSU deserved better.

The USC being elite comment was tongue in cheek. Borne more from my dislike of SC than fact. Everything else in my post I stand by.

Why are bringing me up in this thread? I haven't typed one damn thing until now. I'm beginning to think you are a lunatic just like the Dems you talked about.

He was unemployed when we hired him to be a position coach

He was unemployed because he took a year off. Nonetheless, he was very qualified. Indeed, just look at all he accomplished since coming to LSU.

Look you little punk..you talking about you not me.

In 1995 there were 4 parts to the cpa. There were 8 major firms, as I worked for Arthur Andersen in Houston after graduating Lsu. Two years later started my own firm.

All you are is a young punk that hasn't accomplished shite in life, bit it doesn't stop you from running that dick sucker of yours.

Maybe O will fail, maybe he will do well. I don't know. What I do know is I'm not going to cry everyday like a little bitch because I don't like the hire, which ftr I didn't. Now go suck band nerds dick.

Reached 7 pages, definitely a Coach Eaux bashing thread. Congrats on your troll/bait thread working. Hope you start another one soon.

There is nothing debatable about USC. They are easily a Top 5 all-time football program, maybe Top 3.

They are far ahead of LSU when it comes to being a historically great program.

Anyway, the reason Coach O's record isn't spectacular is like Coach Charlie Strong, Coach O agreed to take on the task of rebuilding the Ole Miss football program after it had been decimated via bad recruiting for years by his predecessor Coach Cutcliffe. As the Ole Miss administration had for several years tried to get Coach Cutcliffe to improve his recruiting. Thus, when the inevitable finally happened and Coach Cutcliffe had his first losing season, unlike most coaches that had been at a university for some time with a winning record, Coach Cutcliffe was fired the very first season it happened because the Ole Miss administration had been trying for years to get him to improve his recruiting before it was finally too late, and they also knew that Coach Cutcliffe would never be able to rebuild the program not the way he had been recruiting and so they fired him citing poor recruiting as the primary cause for termination and hired Coach O to rebuild the program.

OM hired Cut to get Eli. Once he served his purpose, they got rid of him first chance they had.

The O hire was ridiculed throughout college football. We laughed at OM for it.

As far as an empty cupboard, even Gerry Dinardo had a winning season right away, and that was after four years of Curley.

Spaced out Cowboy sure is knighting for Orgeron the past week or so. At least he has in every thread I've seen him post in. Really going above and beyond the call of duty with it too.

He needs to wipe his face, he's got O's buttcheese all over it.

Yea maybe....but not in the SEC. would be more convinced if they had coached somewhere in our conference.
Neither one of these guys gives me a boner.

He's now managed two top tier programs in crisis situations (if you consider USC top tier which is debatable). He should have landed the SC job and I'm glad he landed here. The guy is underrated and this season will prove it.

Not another one of these fricking threads please.
Their is about 100 other threads just like this one.

Yeah, I always wanted a DL coach with a 40% winning record as a head coach to take over at LSU.
