look, 2019 was glorious and O gets credit for bringing in Burrow and Brady, but we're concerned that it was an anomaly.

A one-off year with a generational QB and great young offensive mind isn't "building a program." It's the stars aligning for a magical 15 games.

Just ask Gene Chizik, when he had Cam and Gus for Auburn's NC season. It all went to shite after that.

No one has ever said this. It’s always been Brady’s offense. E just called the majority of the plays.

Uhhh, Orgeron himself said this many times after Brady left and Ensminger was still the OC

The people here that crap on Orgeron and try to insult his intelligence are possibly the dumbest posters since the post 2015 Les Miles defenders.

The dude only orchestrated the greatest LSU football team in the school’s history yet he’s relegated to being called a moron and having his football intelligence compared to that of an average rantard.

Nothing in his career shows he has advanced intelligence. That's why he was always a positional coach b/c he didn't have the chops to install/run a defense.

He's not that guy. That's why he has to completely rely on smart people actually running the scheme and analysis of the game. This can work as long as he never makes a mistake hiring coaches, but he hasn't shown that he's exactly consistent or great at this, either.

Because it was his preferred defensive style. O harped on a lack of pass rush under Aranda almost every game it seemed. The 4-3 “looked” better. The keyword is “look”

This isn't a good argument for O's intelligence, fwiw.

He doesn't comprehend what is needed for modern defenses against modern offenses. He's still stuck in his USC days with dinosaur defenses.

Yet again another poster insulting his intelligence. Why even have a coach if he’s so dumb? Just let Woodward hire the coordinators.

“But there needs to be a front man”

Well if he’s so dumb as y’all claim he’s only hurting us by doing that too.

Might as well just make it a popularity contest

This is why I’m not understanding why people want to hail O. He’s proven nothing at this point. He could be great, or he could be Chizik. After last year, why EVERYONE doesn’t have some caution is beyond me. No explanation for it. After this year, the majority should be on the same page one way or the other.

I swear LSU has the dumbest fanbase in all of college sports.

ETA: When LSU succeeds with this current coaching lineup, guys like this will still say O deserves no credit and proclaim that Brady and Aranda were fully responsible for the coaching hires

Ive seen a lot of dumb head coaches win, so it doesn’t bother me. But if he doesn’t hire the right people consistently, that’s a problem. Some of y’all don’t seem to understand. Other than Brady, he’s not made the best decisions in that area.

Nothing would make me happier. But Jesus dude. What are we supposed to say at this point? I love the hires. But I was told to love a lot of hires before this. Why is it a bad thing to have some caution?

He can say "The offense out of my a-hole" for all I care, as long as it racks up yards. I think some of you people get too hung up on these meaningless press conferences.

Insulting the head coach and program on the most visible LSU discussion board does nothing but hurt the program.

Recruits, current players, their family, and coaches read this.

If you understood the gravity of the situation you’d get why I’m being so defensive. LSU is primed for a CFP run this season and in 2022/3. Be optimistic. 2020 was an anomaly.

I definitely agree there are limits. But I’m not going to coddle O. He should be able to handle it. It’s called pressure and every big program has this.

We discuss the product. This board is a reflection of the product. If O wins he shouldn’t have to worry about this

Hard not to see it this way from Peetz's perspective. Orgeron really needs to go through some damn media training or something.

Yes we should all listen to what YOU say instead of our coach. And what SEC school were you the head football coach in the past?
