Great read. Hearing how he runs his practices and lifting Guice after the loss is really promising. It's hard not to be a huge fan of the guy with all the passion, enthusiasm, and excitement he brings to the job and within our program. Big change from the last regime.

Anxious to see how it works out.

Great story but it's going to piss off a lot of Less Miles brown noses.

I wonder if Lane told Joe "I'm coming to LSU if you hire O unless I land a HC job"

According to the article that's exactly what he said. It also mentioned Bama going all out to find him a job. If Kiffin tanks at FAU then he will be at LSU with O.

"I knew if I was feeling this way, the team was feeling this way. So I had to coach myself up. I had to get a little bit more jacked up than I do on a Sunday. Guys come in, and I’m high-fivin’ them. Guice come in with a hood on, head down. I go up to him in front of everyone. I took that hood off, and I said, ‘I love you. Watch what happens next game.’

The 16-10 loss was, as one LSU fan hollered down at the home sideline that November afternoon, "some Les Miles shite right there."
The whole game felt Milesish

Does he really speak in incomplete sentences?

quote:

"So we gotta go through the Texas A&M week. Short week. Game’s on Thanksgiving. Not gonna practice in pads, none of that. That Monday practice, [then-LSU linebacker] Duke Riley went over to [athletic director] Joe Alleva and said that football practice was the best practice we’ve ever had at LSU. Said we have something special here. We practice Tuesday. Thanksgiving is Thursday, right? Everything’s good. We’re feelin’ good. We get on the plane. Everything’s good. We're jacked up. ‘Let’s kick A&M’s arse!’ We touch down. Get on the bus, we go to this hotel. All of a sudden, I see …"

What? So the last regime, which is most of the current staff, didn't have passion, enthusiasm and excitement, but a few months later they all have it all of a sudden?

No, the message just got stale. It happens, you keep doing abd saying the same thing fir 11 years abd eventually you'll lose a little pep in your step or it'll wear thin on the players.

A coaching staff is allowed to have 9 coaches.

Let's see, the coaches that are gone from the beginning of last season
1. Miles
2. Cameron
3. Peveto
4. Juluke
5. D. Craig

So with Coach Eaux being one of the holdovers that is still on staff 6 of 9 that is not close to being most of the current staff.

You fell for it. A couple of people (usually one of them is Space Cowboy) in every one of these threads puts the Les Miles hook out there, looking for a fight.

um, by definition, it is most of the staff.
anything more than 4.5 out of 9 would be "most"
