Somehow I find it more entertaining than what's been going on. Anything to move on from dissecting and discussing the spring game.
That's fair.

We were only sputtering in the first place because of him.
Horseshite....and not to put too fine a point on it but we we're smoking and running on fumes before O got here.
Who are you kidding.

the coach you love had the same record in year 1 as The GOAT had in year 3.
Well to be FACTUAL... O was 9-4 in year one and Saban was 8-5 in year three..... Just sayin with your punk arse....

Freaux,
Although I know exactly what boxcar was doing with this thread , I felt the need to defend his post. I loved it. Although Coach O is not SAban , I love the irony and it easily drew some bull crap out from some haters. Boxcar did go a little too far with it, but it's the best post I've seen on here in a while. Lunatik was kind enough to play along.
Gold rush and Htown need to loosen their panties though.

Les Miles went 9-3 and was carried off the field by his players; he got fired. your argument is null.
it wasn't miles first season, it was his 12th season and the team was on a strong downward trend. He had just come off of 8-5 and 9-3 seasons and started 2016 2-2. He had gone 4-5 over his last 9 games. In the SEC he had gone 12-10 over his last 22 SEC games and 2-4 in his last 6 SEC games. The main thing was nothing was changing. He was still sticking to the same ole stuff with the same people. The game had been changing and he wasn't changing with it.

this has all been rationalized though and apparently has no bearing in the discussion.

just to entertain your world for a moment. What if we did fire coach O right now, do you think that would be a good move for the program?
did you really just ask if firing a proven failure would be good for lsu?
yes it would. we have the most important class in recent years coming up and i for one dont want a dline coach handling it.

why are you saying that?
because he has never in his life even had a top 14 class

Interesting given wasn’t it you that said you hate idiotic posts?
I’m sorry looking at just the record in a cherry picked Year without any context like where the program was overall in the years leading up is what’s stupid.

He claims to not get why people just bash O but invites it with threads like this

and then 2-2 to start the next season and the team had only won 4 of it's last 9 games. Add in that he had been getting crushed on a regular basis in SEC games winning barely over 50% (12-10 over the last 22) over a lot of teams that were about to fire their coaches. Those same teams firing their coaches after getting beat (6-2 sec record, best in years) by Orgeron {the coach killer? would that be a good nickname?) in 2017.
Also add in that all this comes after almost getting fired in 2015 with just one game at the end of the season saving him job.

C'mon Willie. You've been disputing the easy schedule argument for Orgeron, now you're using it to make your case against Miles?

in what universe is 5 losses then 3 losses a strong downward trend?
in what universe is 9-4 a disastrous season? especially for a team that went 8-5, 9-3, with the previous coach, then went 8-4 (with two of those losses attributed to the previous coach) and then goes 9-4 (with going 6-2 in his own conference after barely winning over 50% in the last 22 conference games [those same teams that fired their coaches])?
