My main point is that I don't see where the "Malzhan situation" is. He has been good for Auburn and they aren't going to run out and get a better coach right now regardless of his contract.

He’s had a couple decent seasons at Auburn but gone

8-5
7-6
8-5
10-4
8-5

And he’s 2-4 in bowl games. 0-3 in NY6/BCS games.

I think He’s shown he’s a good coach when he can pullout the right pieces together on offense, but he hasn’t done that consistently.

No what's pathetic is your barometer for O's success or failure is a team that beats everyone else too in O's second full year in charge. You can't even acknowledge the positives that the coaching staff are accomplishing. That's pathetic.

Beating Bama is one of the 3 most important things for our new coach

Win championships
Beat Alabama
Fix the Offense

In that order

Finishing as high as you can with a 10-3 record wasn’t.

i guess you're not aware that lsu ended the season with one of the toughest schedules in the country
of our nine Power 5 opponents, guess how many we beat that finished with a winning conference record?

One.

And two that we lost to (excluding Bama) each had 3 conference losses.

I really dislike this mentality as well especially when people say things like they would rather LSU lose 3 or 4 games and beat Bama vs lose the one game to Bama. Makes no sense to me. Now, I do agree that our performance against them needs to improve dramatically.

Everyone can agree that LSU needs to improve but to have everything hinge on the performance in one game is pathetic. I can't believe that people honestly think that LSU was ready to compete for national championships the day O took over. When O took over do people think that he could've predicted that several Olinemen would walk away or did they get processed? I don't know.

You're the only one saying everything hinges on that game. But it is pretty clearly the most important game on the schedule every year at this point. Bama is the gold standard in the SEC and we play them every year. To be the best you have to sometimes beat the best. It's not complicated stuff, man.

Against Bama, O has gone:
10-0 at home (as interim)
24-10
29-0 at home

Other people are saying it.

LSU hasn't beaten them in 9 years. It's going to take a while to close the gap. Why can't you see that?

Why can't you see that LSU has to improve in several areas in order to compete with the top programs. Anybody that thought that was fooling themselves.

Saying what? That Bama beat ever living shite out of us this year and that is a very important game?

Why was Auburn able to beat them last year? Why can't we at least put up a fight?

Which top programs? We beat UGA pretty thoroughly. Why can't we put up a fight against Bama?

Les Miles made 4,300,000.00 a year. Les Miles won a national title.

Orgeron can get Les Miles money when he wins a national title.

Bamas defensive line cut through LSU'S like butter.

LSU should just fire the entire coaching staff. I bet that'll do the trick. Who the frick cares if the program is in turmoil. I bet coaches will be lining up to jump on board.

You've all convinced me. Fire the entire coaching staff.

Too late for that. I'm convinced. The only thing that'll do it is a thorough house cleaning. frick it. We know that the entire coaching staff can be fired and it won't effect recruiting at all. Hell the coaching from top to bottom is so atrocious that getting rid of them all can be thought of as nothing but a move in the right direction. Hell most of the negas grandmothers could win ten games and with LSU recruiting itself the top 5 recruiting classes will just keep rolling in.

I can't wait to see the caliber of coaches that'll be lining up to come here after they see how we've treated Les and O.

LSU will be back in the hunt immediately after getting rid of the deadweight.

No one is saying fire O.

Just collect more information before locking ourselves into a stupid buyout.

People pretending there is no one out there who at least thinks they could improve LSU over what O is doing is ridiculous.

I don’t think anyone has watched our offense since 2007 and thought, that’s the best it could be, no improvements there.

You've outdone yourself with this melt.

Quite literally no one has said we should clean house. I see a lot of people attempting to have an objective discussion on whether O deserves a raise and/or extension at this point. I'm of the opinion that a 2-year extension is fine but a significant raise in terms of annual pay would not be warranted. If this season shakes out like I and many other think it may, O will get his deserved raise.

I don't think that anyone believes this. I'm tired of watching players that don't know their assignments at the 12th game of the season. Wide receivers that don't know what route to run. Can't call an audible because half the players won't know what to do. Offensive lineman that can't even slow the Dline down as they chase the QB into the backfield. Let alone establishing a pocket. A QB that's been sacked 35 times plus add all the throwaways that brought his completion percentage down. It's all on coaches not doing their jobs.

Why doesn't the team have serviceable offensive tackles?
Coaching failure is why.

Why don't the wide receivers know what they're supposed to do?
Coaching failure.

Why did the team lose half the offensive lineman when O took over?
Coaching failure

Why didn't Aranda have another answer when his elite pass rusher went down?
Coaching failure.

Why didn't mannie have help over the top?
Coaching failure

I could go on for days. It's clear that the coaches are incompetent.

I realize you were being sarcastic, but how come any of this stuff wouldn't be on the coaches?
