Let us not forget that Will Wade fresh off of great coaching at VCU, came to an LSU program with way more issues than the football program and had plenty more options than O

Joe was gambling that LSU would never fire him for the Orgeron hire without firing Orgeron too. In giving O that insane buyout, he was just hedging his bets.

The next AD has to be in place before O is even fired. Ed's buyout offers Joe zero protection.
