Thank goodness for Coach O giving Joe Burrow a him a chance when others would not.

Some people are just so full of hate they’ve forgotten about the magic of 2019.

thank god the quarterback room was a complete dumpster fire that desperately needed saving. Busch then identified burrow and the rest is history. Thank god he knew burrow. Aranda made a good hire with Busch.

yea it was a lot of fun the last two years. Getting their shite pushed in vs UCLA, breaking the 20 yr home win streak vs auburn, getting crushed by Kentucky, ole miss dick slapping LSU. That’s just this year. So worth it

Orgeron putting together the greatest season ever in college
football history in 2019 was definitely worth the down years of 2020 and 2021. Anyone who wouldn't make that trade off is brain damaged.

Except Ed didn’t put it together. It’s highly probably that the program with Aranda as head coach could have replicated and maintained that success.

It all went downhill, crashed and burned after the National Championship!

O drove this program down as fast as the 2019 offense drove down the field, but on the other hand Burrow’s Heisman speech did refer to O with deep gratitude and choked him up pretty good when he Thanked O for everything he’d done for him.

Yall ready for this,

O deserves at least some credit because:

Aranda went to Coach O and said we need a safeties coach. Coach O made the decision instead of listening to Ryan Clark and worrying about pissing off Corey Raymond, signed off on it. Bill Busch comes here and knew of Joe Burrow. The rest is history.

O deserves credit for this CEO type move but letting his assistant coaches coach.

Coach O, you have no idea what you mean to my family. I didn’t play for three years, you took a chance on me not knowing if I could play or not. And I am forever grateful for you. Can you imagine a guy like Coach O giving me the keys to his football program? He just means so much to me and my family and to LSU. I sure hope they give him a lifetime contract, he deserves it.

Nothing in that statement made by Joe B during his HT speech in any way says that EO "landed" Burrow. It does say thank you for "taking a chance on me"

The dumbassesness of this statement is astounding. The staff, hired by O, recruits players and brings them to the HC who ultimately determines if a schollie is offered.

This is like saying Saban and Kirby have nothing to do with the players recruited by the staffs they assembled.

O went to work to retain Aranda. The stupidity of the O haters is thick.

This is an Orgeron Derangement Syndrome fairy tale. Mighta, coulda, woulda, maybe on all other scenarios. Sorry, while your wishing, O accomplished it.

This and if I remember correctly, I think a couple of the Ohio State coaches were recommending LSU over other schools.
