What is the problem with LSU and auburn? All I see is Oregon paid money to 2 guys who had relationships with Oregon signees. Is the assumption that any school who has signed a player with ties to these 2 guys must have paid these 2 guys for that player? Quite an assumption.

frick Joe Schad...

That's nothing but an attention grabbing statement. I'm sure there have been A LOT of teams that have RECRUITED players with ties to him.

Now, if we've SIGNED any, then I might be a little more concerned. Anybody know if we've signed any?

Oh, and bye-bye, Oregon...

Having an african american running backs coach who is from Texas might help a little too. Can relate

Eta.....not to mention a fun offense. So far....up until wallace signed (lb)....every recruit from texas was on the offensive side of the ball.

shite, hope LSU's season opener doesn't fizzle like the UNC game did, before it starts.

Toliver was supposed to be linked to him according to some.

why would schad list us and not FL? LSU and FL were Toliver's top teams.

theres a texass blog out with names of players linked to lyles. been floating around for a while now. of course the first named mention is pp7 which sounds completely wrong so take it for what its worth.

Lots of sizzle, not much steak. There's a lot more that would need to be fleshed out before any program should be worried.

I agree....Cowherd boosted his ratings. SFP has it all laid out in that msb thread. I have learned a lot about how all this works. Didn't know.....sounds like a good "legit" scam that many are involved in.

RT....I hope it's nothing.

That makes two of us.

quote:

"Most programs purchase recruiting services," Oregon coach Chip Kelly said Thursday. "Our compliance office is aware of it. Will has a recruiting service that met NCAA rules and we used him in 2010."

quote:

But a person who once worked with Lyles said the $25,000 payment exceeded the $16,500 Oregon paid the recruiting service for its work during the previous two years. The source said Lyles' affiliation with the recruiting service had been terminated prior to Lyles billing Oregon on his own.

I guess we'll see if Chip, or the source, is right...

none of these schools or players have to worry. the precedent was set with cam. these are guys on behalf of the kid. as long as the kid says he didn't know. it's all good. these kids were before or during the same period as cam!

Yep....Chip said they stopped working with him when he went on his own.

I think a lot of programs are going to be talked to about these services.

Rummy step away from the ledge. That is a blog by a butthurt UT fan. It's already been proved false. Only one on there that has a remote chance of being linked to LSU is Toliver.
