Did he endanger anyone else on the highway? YES There were three other people in the car.
How do you know he was not driving perfectly straight? I road with my parents when I was a kid in Montana and they even went faster then Cliffy and I never felt endangered. I also road with my other relatives, even one uncle who was a mechanic and he had the hottest supped up car and I never felt endangered or saw him drive wreckless. And all the they were complying with Montana laws. No law was broke. Hmmm, go figure. But if we took the same car, at the same day to LA, that would be endangerment. Hmmm, something doesn't seem right.

Pretending to be grammar patrol on a chat board is kinda cheesy by the way.
When you come on a message board with a smarter than thou attitude and make degrading remarks about an entire region you are not going to get any slack your way...

Oh so if it's one team in the Pac-10 then it's an isolated incident, but you just called out the entire SEC on one single incident.
Do we even have to go there? Come on... The whole SEC is Corrupt staring with your Comish who rigs Officiating for teams they want to win in the SEC. And then top to bottom in the SEC except maybe Vandy is corrupt as hell. Do you really want me to start dragging out LSU stuff? Come on, do you really want me to? I did not think so.

You are so f'ing stupid. Everyone, please just let this kid write whatever he wants. He is obviously right off the tart cart (aka the short bus). Leave him alone. He needs this to feel like a masculine man. You are right, Ducks, you are right. Now go ride your moto cross bike off a cliff...go on.

You - have - no - idea.
You do realize that there are other things in nature besides mountains, right?
Yeah, Louisianians don't find themselves outside much, unless it's to go to a football game...
Just because we're more likely to bring ammunition and a six-pack of beer with us doesn't mean we don't like nature. We love ALL of God's creatures - some just taste better than others.

I'll give you this, Quackers, the boys on here are making WAY too much out of the whole 100+ mph thing.
I agree, especially out west, 100+ mph really isn't that big of a deal.
Posted on 6/15/11 at 3:19 pm to DucksflyinPAC
Yes because here 70MPH is the law on Intrastate Highways. He was going 53 MPH over the posted speed limit. Like it or not, you arrogant West coast frick, he was cited for a speeding ticket. At the time of the ticket he had no Valid drivers license. Regardless of Montana, germany, or Mars, he broke the law on whichever highway he was on. Bottom line.

Not on 49 between Opelousas and Shreveport - it's 75.
I think some parts of Montana are back to having no posted limits on the highways.
It IS different out west.

JMO
You are acting like a douchebag
I doubt you know much of anything about the SEC and if you think Oregon or USC runs their football program differently from most of the SEC programs I don't know where you are getting that from...
What has been striking to me RE: investigations of street agents and recruiting services is how very similar different schools from different parts of the country appear to be

Yes I would be interested to see what you post since LSU and Vandy have never had their football teams on probation...

Yes. Link?
Don't give that "I don't have hours to back up my claims." You do, as evidenced by the hours you've spent on an LSU website today alone.

You're just talking out of your fourth point of contact now - LSU is run as clean as a big program can be. Compared to stuff that has been proven at USC and the allegations around Oregon right now (and for that matter, the scandals at Auburn and Ohio State) - LSU might as well BE Vandy, for compliance purposes.
LSU has boosters around the program who will test the boundaries, as does any big-time program. Our compliance department is aggressive, effective and I refuse to let our program be slimed with the same $hit that's rightfully being thrown at Auburn.

It's pretty obvious that he's just trolling now. You may as well stop feeding him.

Do you realize that the precursor to the Pac12/10/8 was the old Pacific Coast Conference?
Do you know why the PCC was disbanded in 1959?
Here's a hint: Pay-for-play.
Do you want to drag out LSU stuff? Go ahead, in almost 120 years, LSU has never had a major violation in football.
It look likes Oregon has had 2 - 1981 and 2004.
So don't you start accusing us of cheating when your team comes from a conference that had to be disbanded for cheating, and has 2 major violations in football to LSU's ZERO.
fricking cheaters.

How cool would it be to get this final score (just so we can use this image)?

Posted on 6/15/11 at 4:05 pm to DocBugbear
I'm gonna jack this thread for a second, Doc I noticed you are from Bedford... My hotel is in that area for the game, anything to do nearby? Also, how's the drive to the stadium?
Posted on 6/15/11 at 4:31 pm to Tigerfan7218
It's mostly suburbia in this area. There's restaurants all over the place along 183. Pappadeaux's near Central actually makes some decent seafood and other Louisiana fare (I'd say it's comparable to a Copeland's). If you want a decent steak you've got Texas Land and Cattle (if you can stand the country music). Or if you just want some scantily clad waitresses there's always Twin Peaks. The bar scene isn't great, but there are a few options. Boomerjacks and Duke's are right next to each other and usually pretty busy (if you want to chase some tail). Right across the highway is Big Shots (they do live music-nothing too grand, usually cover bands) and a Buffalo Wild Wings with TVs all over the place. The nice thing about the area is that the highways allow you to get to north Dallas, downtown Dallas, or downtown Fort Worth (areas with more entertainment) in 15 to 20 minutes. Also, Louisiana folk might like popping up 121 into Grapevine to do some shopping at Bass Pro Shops outdoor world (freaking huge). The best route to the stadium is to take 183 over to Industrial and head south. The speed limit gets up to 55 or 60 as you go through the no man's land near the river. Industrial then becomes Collins, which runs right next to the stadium. Expect traffic to suck. Let me know if there's something more specific that you'd like to know about.

I think it's likely Harris will be suspended for the game due to the citations.
And it's likely that it will be determined that the players technically received an improper benefit (from a UO employee in the payroll department), but I don't think much will come of it as the benefit essentially had no monetary value. A minor violation that won't affect eligibility...
