Four words: There Will Be Blood

Surprised I haven't seen it yet.
Meh...say what? You'll be fine. More than fine.
We look forward to the obliteration of UW -- because, to a man, we despise them.

Tremendous depth in your DBs -- honey who?

Congratulations, LSU fans:

(pasting this here now that the TR is open):

Can't cough the ball up like that against LSU.

That's a billy-badass team at this point.

Looks to me like the Pac-12 sucks this year, with Oregon and Stanford being decent. SEC might not be all that great short of LSU and Bama...need to see some more ball.

I don't know -- Oregon is likely better than this, but that O-Line has not gelled yet, and the athleticism of LSU's front didn't help.

Congrats LSU fans -- you've got a good shot at it this year.

Tiger Rant is locked.

3. I could see both teams playing their best game, and it coming down to a late game field goal to seal it for either team.

4. Neither team gets much O going, especially in the first half. Outcome decided by special teams.

Keep in mind it's not a smack board, if "open season" gave anyone that impression. Somewhat more moderated than this board.

Also we have a QB now that can throw the football the football to our play makers and that will hurt Oregon also.

Why was Lee not the starter?

Listening to Buddy Songy presently.
eDuck (Scout network) is the largest Oregon board:

This is "open season" :

If we play to potential, OU will be #9 on Monday.

Doubt Oklahoma drops their opener.

That LSU D will certainly be challenging, to say the least.

One thing LSU fan seems to have forgotten (or is ignoring) is the fact that that Auburn O was much superior to this LSU O.

Yep. Them some fugly games. :yack:
Lee called a team meeting?

Crap -- LSU by 60.

570 yards is enough to be considered 'one of the best' in the nation? Back-up RBs almost always have a higher ypc than the #1 back.

He missed some games due to a nasty concussion.

Who was the other RB you included in the '2 of the best' statement?

Kenjon Barner:

I expect him to run more this year. Really looks like he was reigned in as far as running goes after Costa went down vs. UW.

Probably best to not touch the Creole vs. Cajun gumbo issue here, I take it..

Very cheap and very high quality here in Oregon -- but not sure I would blaze up that shite in LA; your cops scare me.

I eat crawfish with some regularity in Portland, but only because this joint is a couple hundred meters from my house and the owners are from New Orleans:

If a region has some specialty, leave it to 'em. No reason to frick around with crap amateur versions.

Really? You might have to defend against the forward pass instead of stacking the box. You will have to cover the TE, who I am fairly certain JJ believes is not an eligible receiver. You will have to defend slant patterns, and deep balls.

I don't think that simplifies anything...

Seems to me that Oregon will see a somewhat simplified O with little or none of that option, run by a QB that's much less mobile than JJ.

I have to assume that Lee would have been the starter were it really the case that his arm opens up your O that much more.

I know -- and York, too.

They were both just moments away from bawling and crapping themselves in uncontrollable fear.
