If Danny Etling is an NFL QB, Burrow most certainly is an ‘NFL Draft kid.’
The stupidity of that comment makes me question the legitimacy of these supposed “coaches.” I suspect some writer is claiming anonymous “sources” as a means of spouting his own stupid opinion.

I mean... even if Burrow isn't drafted he in my opinion is capable of being a damn good college QB and more than good enough to lead us to the top. Obviously he's just one piece among many, but I think he has the goods.

That's a pretty short sighted statement. Consider that:
-Burrow did not have a full offseason at LSU
-He was a 1st year starter
-LSU had new starters at all WR spots, both RBs and2-3 of the OL
-The 1st time LSU was not fielding a top 10 RB in a decade
-1st year OC (2016 interim notwithstanding)and as most would admit not a premier OC either
-1st year OL coach
All things considered, the guy did pretty damn good. He may not be the most physically gifted QB, but he makes up for it with toughness, field smarts and leadership. It's the intangibles that make a winner and Burrow has those.

Barring injury, I agree.
He's got perfect size, good athleticism, very smart QB, and good enough arm strength (albeit not elite).
If he shows more accuracy this year and puts up some stats, he'll 100% get drafted.
Danny frickin' Etling was drafted. Teams will reach on QBs with any shred of potential.

What exactly is your point here?
Burrow will be drafted barring major injury. If you disagree, I’d be open to a wager if you care to offer one.

They said the same thing about Tom Brady...Burrow's football IQ and ability to read defenses and not get rattled reminds me of Brady.

That was what he was attempting to say...badly.
I'm assuming his point is that since the national media was wrong last year about LSU, then they must be wrong this in unless they predict something awesome.
Thing is...it wasn't LSU fans predicting doom and gloom last year even though national pundits did.

So...posters on a board that some here call "negative" were predicting 9-3 or better at greater than a 58% rate. If you throw in 8-4 it's over 80%. Stop falling for this notion that many here thought we'd tank last year.
