Those folks probably have no idea that Orgeron had been the coach at Ole Miss a decade ago or how that turned out. Or that he was at USC. Or that after not being hired there he simply went home and pouted while not getting a sniff at another HC gig anywhere in the country at any level. They just know him as the Cajun guy now running the program, and that's good enough for them, cher!
In 2019, why is this relevant to anyone?

Yet you demanded examples and when people gave instances of it you said they were "grasping at straws".
Orgeron has thrown players under the bus. It's not egregious, but he should probably refrain from doing it in post game pressers like he has in the past.
Really not a complicated line of thought.

I have no problem with a coach calling it like it is. The oline was terrible.
So what's the issue then with him calling out players??

after a projected 6-6 seasons and we go 10-3 when we easily could have gone 12-1? you dont want to let him do his thing?
we were projected 7-6 because O just had the 2nd most nfl draft picks in cfb and lost 4 games. they didnt know Miami and Auburn would suck.
your deity is 2-5 in 2017 & 2018 against p5 teams that were good enough to not finish with 5 or more losses.
if losing 3 games gets you a 5 year pass then we shouldve just kept miles

No he hasn’t.
Quit lying.
So examples were cited.

exactly.
that's the only reason it was brought up. an orgeron cult member said he hasnt done it and to quit lying.

I've never seen a HC with so little accomplishments have such a dedicated following. there are numerous posters in this thread that put O above reproach.its as if losing 3 and 4 games a year is something that should be celebrated and touted. some of these same posters shite all over and labeled the last coach an underachiever for these same win loss numbers.
some have legit insinuated that NFL draft picks arent indicative of talent in cfb.
they are perfectly fine with O never producing a competent offense yet couldnt stand Miles' offenses when 2 of his last 3 full seasons had more productive offenses than anything O has put out.
it's the epitome of hypocrisy

Relevant as a fan? Because it would be a good thing to know something about the guys running the program you say you follow. Same as it would be that BAMA fans know that before Saban was there, he was at Miami, and before that LSU, and before that Michigan St, etc.
Why would knowing that be bad?
As for relevant in terms of how LSU plays, it may or may not be...but knowing a person's past actions can lead to seeing patterns in their present ones. It's not the only indicator, but there's a reason people ask for a resume and references before they hire someone. If a person's past was always irrelevant, then why bother to hold anyone accountable for their past actions...ever?

further proof he gets his sense of self worth from here.
he thinks people try to impress people on an anonymous sports message board where no one actually knows you.
its pathetic

have you ever lost an argument on here roger?
have you ever been caught lying roger?
did you claim troy was more talented than lsu so you could blame the troy loss on the talent Miles left?

I actually posed my question to Ricky in a nice manner. I said I don't know if it's right or wrong but can you provide me with some examples...i genuinely wanted to know since I didn't remember any. You came in and acted like an arse and here we are.

I came in like an arse after you accused people of "grasping at straws" with regards to something that was factually correct.
Once again, good job Trout.

It's only relevant if the coach in question makes some of the same mistakes he was making then.
