We get Florida, Auburn and A&M at home. It's an odd numbered year. That's always been said to be the easier year to win the division. See '01, '03, '05, '07, '11.

It doesn't sound like you have a lot of faith in the HC. Why are you going on this two-loss crusade all of a sudden?

In a year you don’t play 2 top 5 teams on the road, I would agree.

TigerLunitik - You are being dishonest in your signature line by omitting context. I was referring specifically to LSU's failure to provide an area and a sufficient number of machines for receivers to easily get 100 minimum Jugs reps daily - 365 days a year (like the Big Boys do)

And Loony, would you be in favor of locking up all the weight rooms on campus, and making them accessible by appointment only?

You have no idea if UT is a legit top 5, or even top 10. There’s a lot of hype, but you seem to have forgotten the Miami hype and how that turned out.

ETA I personally think they’re a top 10, but I don’t think they’re top 5 yet. Maybe next year. It’s clear they’re improving.

You can say this for any team, any year.

Fact: two of our men st talented opponents are on the road. I expect to roll Texas, 50/50 onthe gumps

All we can go on is the information we currently have. UT will be top 5-9 when we play them and the big 12 is a joke outside of them and OU

And I’m saying preseason rankings are pretty much worthless. Herman is good in big games, but he still has to prove he can beat the teams he’s supposed to beat.

Just like O with UF and TAmU, etc.

Ah, so now Texas is good?

So Herman's done a damn good job building them up?

The goal is to win the West. That's what I'm talking about here. Are you expecting Texas to be a top 5 team?

We played Miami, Auburn and A&M on the road last year. We all thought those would be tough games and tough teams. You just don't know until we play the games.

Then what was your point about a favorable schedule? If we have no idea who will be good or bad?

He did say almost. Also, we have to decide what Texas is. Are they now a powerhouse or are they a team that did well last season, but is still an average team? They lost a majority of their defense, their best WR and a good portion of their OL.

I think they will still pose a tough threat, but if we are to become the team we think we are, this is the game you go out and win. By most accounts the schedule does favor us outside of the Bama game.

Texas is a very talented team. Every single year. They've consistently underperformed.

Based on potential, they should have kicked arse last season.

They had the talent with Charlie Strong, that wasn’t the issue. I don’t know how good they are. Which is why I said I’m only going on the information we have.

Traditionally, LSU has done better in odd years. Florida and Auburn are usually tough games. Auburn hasn't won in TS in 20 years. A&M has a national championship coach. Florida has a Coach that has beaten Orgeron 2 years in a row. We should have an advantage over those teams at home vs playing them at their place.

Eta: grossly misspelled word

He point being, contrary to your post, the two toughest games could end up being on the road.

The two most talented teams LSU will face are Bama and Texas.

And you didn't answer my question. Do you believe that ALL weight rooms on the LSU campus should be locked up.. and have access by appointment only?
