Spot on It’s amazing people will downvote your post.
Here's a bit of irony for you. Damone has been proclaiming that this is an 11-1 team as has a lot of O antagonists. If that's the case then obviously O has improved this team by based on their proclamations.
Now, the bar has been set pretty high so if we don't at least hit that mark ranters will come on here and say we need to burn it all down.

When Orgeron took over Aranda reminded him that LSU had more kickers and punters than inside linebackers.
Those inside linebackers:
Kendall Beckwith
Devin White
Michael Divinity

I’m sure that Gage and Brossette will appreciate your criticisms as they tear things up in Atlanta and New England

last year most of them said he wouldn't win 8 games. Since that didn't work they have done a 180 and the new battle cry is 11-1, sec title, playoffs or bust

I don’t even know who you are yet you’re so obsessed with me you’re citing my preseason expectations

Everyone is happy right now. The distinction is that some feel that 2019 is going to be a great season that launches LSU back into the discussion as a national power and some think that we’re already there after last year. I’m in the former camp. The number one goal every year is to win the division. Period. We haven’t done that in a long time.
I am as well and that is predicated on beating Bama. Auburn is the only team to win the division outside of Bama since 2011. They did it in 2017 and 2013. They have to scrap the conservative play in the hopes of winning in the 4th. The only way to beat them is open up the offense and punch them in the mouth early. I think we do that this year. Whether we win, IDK.

There wasn’t much room for optimism coming into the past year after losing to Troy and getting blown out by State. The program is unquestionably better from a personnel standpoint (good enough for 11-1) than it has been in several years, it just remains to be seen if we’ll put it all together.

Again TAM beat us because our D line. O line and RB were below SEC average.
Are you aware that Brossette ran the same 40 time at the combine as Le'Veon Bell, Kareem Hunt, Jeremy Hill and Josh Jacobs?

Miss St beat us in Starkvegas because we traveled with 4 defensive lineman.
I didn't count this game in the losses.

Our 2018 QB depth chart Brennan was hurt and could not play. Left us unable to run our QB.
Joe Brady ran plenty.
Are you aware that in every game no matter how talented a team is that the other team will have a mismatch somewhere? It's the coach's job to scheme around that.
The fact is that Bama is the only team that Orgeron has faced with more talent excluding the '17 State game. Mullen just coached the game of his life that night.

All of this. I would only add that I don't think it was fair that some people wouldn't even give Orgeron and Ensminger a chance going into 2018.

The people saying 11-1 is the floor are the funniest to me. There are only maybe 4 programs in the country that “expect” only 1 loss a season, 3 of them play in conferences with no competition, and the other is Alabama.

How many times have you stated 11-1? So I mentioned you in a post? If that makes you feel special, congrats I guess.

I think we have the coaching and talent to do it without question. I am just laughing at the O haters who say he is a terrible coach but saying 11-1 or bust, It still takes some luck with avoiding key injuries to go 11-1 or better.

I agree. It takes some lucky break and lack of injuries to beat every team that you're supposed to beat. Coaching is not my argument here. I'm only disputing the depleted roster idea.

Many many people aside from me have high expectations for the program this season.

It’s hard to argue that the offensive roster wasn’t depleted. 2018 had the weakest RB stable in memory, on the OL several young players were pressed into action because of all the OL recruiting misses over the years, the top two WRs (Jefferson and Chase) had zero career receptions entering the season, and if Burrow didn’t transfer in LSU would’ve probably started a QB that ended up at Tulane.

I'm going by the losses in '16-'18 excluding Bama and '17 State. LSU had as much or more talent than every team they lossed to and could have one those games. '16 could easily have been 11-1, '17 could have been 10-2 and '18 could have easily been 11-1. IMO that's not a depleted roster when your team had every oppurtunity to have those records in the SEC West.

So you think O has done a good job building the team and has the program moving in the right direction.

It's on the coaches and staff to build depth so injuries can be mitigated, but key injuries obviously can be devastating. Ask Jimbo who lost his starting QB at FSU and his season went down the toilet. I'd also argue that Jimbo didn't build a great roster either because that was not a very good team in general and he did a poor job of elevating them when the team was in crisis.
Posted on 7/29/19 at 8:52 am to BayouCowboy
I think Jimbo got tired of fighting the administration there and just checked out. He was looking for an oppurtunity to exit IMO.
Posted on 7/29/19 at 8:53 am to BayouCowboy
I expect O to perform better than the coach he replaced who was fired.
