I live in Big 12 country, most fans I know think the dude is a frickin idiot and always resort to saying every year we SHOULD HAVE been 7-5, 6-6. They claim he only wins cause luck, Nick Saban, and cause he is at LSU.

i dont even agree with that. i like most of interviews. no coach ever actually says anything in an interview, so id rather this than some mumbling drone like saban.

actually think that Les does fine most of the time in front of the camera. There are times when he seems like a deer in a headlight, but most of the time, he does just fine. I think he does better than most.

I am in Houston and have a lot of ut and tamu friends. General feelings in my sphere is they are confused as to why Miles even talked to Mich.
Several have said that the SEC is the place to be.
btw, all the aggies except one thought we would beat them badly. The one paid for my beer for the last 2 weeks.

And Les is lucky to have us. Let's be honest, LSU has done very well to enhance the resume of both Miles and Saban.

Informed objective observers usually say that Miles is a good coach. The ones who rip on him are usually sheep that listen to what others say and parrot it back as if it's their own thinking.

This goes both positive and negative. Right now many of the sheeple are positive about Les.

There's another contingent that likes to rip on Les because they think it makes them look like a football expert. This is just my experience though.

Um...Saban put LSU back on the football map and Miles is keeping us there. Has this enhanced their image? Sure, but they enhanced ours as well.

I've had experiences with fans outside of LSU and the SEC and they see him and either a buffoon or misunderstood. However, I am not going to use terms such as "many" to define these people as it is not many in the grand scheme of things but only a handful.

It's safe to say that Sooners hate Miles - because he made his bones beating them. So by extension it makes sense that many Texas fans like him.

I've got lots of Oklahoma fans on my wife's side of the family. They all loathe Miles; said he was an awful hire and predicted he would fall on his face at LSU. They're full of hate.

This thread is a great example of why so many Tiger fans will always be dissatisfied with Miles. They don't care that he wins. They care more about public and media perception of "us and our coach," and about what the talking heads say, and how many losses we "should" have, and how he interviews. Pop the Saban Tit out your mouths.

Get real and grow up you D bags. You sound like a group of 8th grade girls. All worried about how they "look" to the media and other schools. Go get a pedicure and buy some skinny jeans little girlie men.

The guy wins games differently. Is that so bad? It obviously works. You say he can't coach up our players to their potential? Tell that to Dorsey, Whitworth, Bowe, Doucet, Flynn, Ridley, Nevis, PP7, etc. He took a struggling offense 11-2 with schemes, trick plays, and defense. That's COACHING, admitting where your weaknesses are and finding ways to win despite them.

But really, you many of you have gotten so accustomed to bitching it's probably all you know how to do. Do me a favor if your a season ticket holder; sell your tickets and stay home, and quit pretending to pull for a team you secretly wish would lose, you fakes.

I don't care what the nation thinks of him. Most of the time when we play the rest of the nation (outside the SEC) we beat their arse anyways.

Figured this needed repeating!

Outsiders think he is great because as a rule there experience with Les is in bowl games and LSU always comes out on top!

Obviously there are plenty on both sides of the debate thanks to the wide variety of publicity received nationally. I know a couple hundred Texans and the big majority of those that follow college football speak highly of LSU's program including their eccentric head coach.

This has been my experience with various friends, acquaintances, and in-laws. The people I know who have the best knowledge about the game and the most reasonable insight into both their own favorite program and their rivals usually have objective views of CLM. The people I know who are difficult to have a discussion with (the Arkie in-law who does nothing but talk smack, says that Saban's second NC was 'luck', and who sent out a mass email about how the SEC was in a conspiracy against the Piggies during both the Bama and AU games) usually cannot offer an objective viewpoint of ANYONE.

Sorry there Tommy Patel. Wasn't aimed at your post bro.

Just can't stand the negativity sometimes. Haters gonna hate, but sometimes it's too much BS from our fanbase. Only a matter of time before theyre out to fire Kragthorpe too. Bastards.
