I understand your point. I think initially, with the Bammer, REC, SEC collusion it put some people on the defensive. Then the sensible side of the LSU base squelched out the whackos which in turn silenced the morons on the Bammer side.
There's been very little conspiracy talk (that I'm aware of) since Monday. I've interpreted the whole thing as good fun.
I think it's helped energize the build up to the game.

This really is about a shite call that is based off of a shite rule that should be thoroughly examined and adjusted in The off-season.

REC already knows who I am and has for years. Two of them live on my street, others are my hunting buddies etc. but I am surrounded by Auburn people.
We are all good friends we just don’t talk during game week. ( I unfortunately deliver them a six pack of their favorite micro brew beer after ever damn Bama win over LSU like clockwork also.) We have keys to each other’s houses, etc. They are great guys and wonderful neighbors.
They also know how I feel about the Amite situation. You can be a good person and a bama supporter, they are not mutually incapable.
That doesn’t make the REC less evil. Their were good people who were in the NAZIs party too. Hundreds of them live in Huntsville don’t they?
Changes need to be made it’s that simple
