I don’t think Daniels has ever had a descent offensive mind coaching him. His freshman year Oc left after ‘19 and the guy that replaced him got fired. Denbrock and Kelly are teaching him things he hasn’t been taught yet.

If Nuas has to come in, we will be fine. I think everyone is overreacting to his couple of mistakes.

Troll of the day winner. Congratulations.

Having Daniels at QB is the same as having a governor on the carburetor. It limits the engine's output.

Or myles if he stayed. He could have played some at this point. Maybe he should of stuck it out a little longer.

Receivers are wide open with no one to get it to them. Daniels just can’t do it. Only can throw quick hitters and make one read. Nuss is just a turnover waiting to happen. I hate to say it but with the line starting to come together, Max Johnson would be our best option this year.

Like it or not Daniel’s made some key plays to extend drives.
True, however, on many of these plays where he tucks and runs, there are receivers in stride and he is extremely hesitant to throw the ball and trust his receivers to run to the point where the ball and receiver would meet.

This tells me he does not either (a) trust his receivers to make the play or (b) does not trust himself to make the throw.

It's probably a bit of both, which is why he instinctively tucks and runs. Eventually, opposing teams will figure out his "run instincts", shut down throwing options and key on his instincts to close those gaps he's running into.

Kelly needs to really work on him to build trust in his throws and trust in his receivers. Joe Cool had no problem running, but it was only when necessary, not instinctual.

Max Johnson is not a very good QB. I do not believe he would be the best option.

He's a run-first QB. He will always be that. Can he learn to be a better passer? Sure. However, he's not going to all of a sudden start hitting open receivers in stride over the middle. The coaches will stick with what Daniels is comfortable with, which is the smart thing to do. Sadly, that pretty much negates anything in the middle of the field, and good opposing DCs wilL catch on pretty quick. I don't expect him to start throwing the ball down the field.

Really sad that Brennan left, he really could have become Lsu folk lore. 2-3rd string his entire career, and during 6th season as a back up and the transfer starter goes down with an injury and the redshirt freshman backup throws two picks, Brennan comes into the game and leads Lsu to victory and first 10win season in 3 years…

U never ever quit and it’s just upsetting why not wait it out, ride the pine enjoy the free college go fishing continue as u have been. But he would be 2nd string rn I think after nuss and his dumb decision vs southern

I tend to think the game is a little fast in his mind right now so he is playing on instinct. If this is the case then hopefully the game starts to slow. I would think for the first time in his career he is having to try and process the speed of defensive players across the board where he did not see that type of elite talent in the PAC12. Just my opinion.

We are just going to have to hope that he can get into that rhythm earlier

Denbrock/Kelly can help with that by going tempo from the first series. Daniels got into a rhythm when the pace of the offense increased.
