hard to get up for boring Iowa, which beat LSU last time out. This should be motivation for LSU's fans and team.

Competition is the main motivator so maybe y'all do not feel the need to support YOUR team that will compete against a team which beat LSU the last time they played.

I get that it isn't USC ok, but news flash, the team still wants your support. I will try to get there next week. Lord willing.

However, our fans dont think that far ahead on things.

Before 2000, LSU had a reputation for traveling poorly to bowl games. There is a reason the Outback Bowl was always hesitant to take LSU - 1988. LSU brought very few fans.

In the 1987 Gator Bowl, that stadium was 95% USCe. There was maybe one section of LSU fans if I remember correctly.

Gruden & Tirico are going to be doing this game as well.

Gruden is absolutely awful. I guess I'll be unplugging the center channel. Tirico is great, but I just can't handle Gruden bloviating about how much he loves everything.

You can support them in other ways. You don't always have to go to the game. Unless you're willing to buy my ticket and pay for my trip then shut up. Going to games isn't the only way to support your team.

Gruden/Tirico is still better than Verne/Gary.

That's a low bar but it is what it is.

Winning solves a ton of these problems. You want more fan support, then LSU needs to win more. I am not saying it is right, but it is the world we live in these days. Tickets would vanish if LSU was playing in a BCS bowl or the NC. Nobody cares about playing Iowa in Tampa.

The Outback bowl could have picked Nebraska or even Michigan if they wanted, but lets be honest they wanted to put buts in the stands and Iowa will bring more people than either of those two teams. Michigan and Nebraska fans don't care about their football team this year, I'm not sure what the big fuss about playing Iowa is.

This will probably be one of the better match ups this year anyhow, be more entertaining than watching you guys rip Nebby or Mich a new one, in an empty stadium.

I would love to go to Tampa and this bowl but cant find a place for my kids. They would want to spend all the free time at Disney or Busch Gardens and not drinking beer in Ybor or on the beach

He's not nearly as bad as he used to be. He's still a sunshine pumper most of the time but objectively he's come a long way since the first couple of seasons on MNF.

wait till the playoffs start and you have to travel potentially to the SECCG and then to Pasadena or Glendale or who knows where and then to Dallas or Tampa or Atlanta. If you're team is good enough, you will have to either gamble on going to the first round or second round or have lots of money and time to do both.

I care about playing schools we don't get to play that often, good or not, it's different and therefor exciting. So I guess other than Iowa not being a ranked team, I don't understand why people don't care.

Just think if Northwestern could of had the season everyone was expecting or Minnesota maybe wins one more game you'd all be playing one of those schools. Everyone on this board would be on suicide watch.
