Florida and Georgia will prove to be a stickier wicket. Go ahead and get out the broom this weekend, and see how it unfolds. We definitely need to win at least 13, then maybe take a couple in the SEC tourney

This really bad USCe team is really fooling yall lol.

UGA will most likely drum us like A&M did. LSU might be lucky enough to squeak out one win against UF.

I think our RPI would have to get to the high 30's maybe? Now, if we win 13 games including 4 over Georgia and Florida, could our RPI get that high? Maybe. Let's get there first and see what it looks like. One more win the SEC tournament probably wouldn't hurt if it happens.

They're not too bad, and were ahead of LSU when the day started. They had won 5 of their previous 9 games. How many SEC games did LSU win out of that 9 game stretch?

3 of those 5 wins were Mizzou which is closer to a middle school team than a D1 program. The other 2 were on a fading UK team that even LSU beat earlier in the year

They lost to the Citadel on Tuesday

USC is dreadful, this is just coping

I dunno how baseball works as well as basketball, but I have noticed that SEC basketball tournament runs often have little if any effect on tournament seedings for march madness. do wins in the SEC tournament in Hoover have a useful impact on RPI and get you in?

Tennessee's not particularly good. Cool for them to bounce back for a series tho

You think 13 is enough? Genuinely asking. I think they’ll need 14

When you suffer 9 pretty terrible OOC losses, 13-17 in the SEC certainly won't cut it.

I'm not even convinced 14-16 is good enough.

It's never not been good enough in the history of the current format.

If we finish the SEC season going 8-1 including 2 sweeps we are a lock.

We'll need a win or 1 in Hoover at 13-17

Yea, the more I think about it, 2 out of those 13 wins would be against top ranked Georgia and another 2 against a ranked Florida. That has to weigh heavily. I’d also assume we don’t lose any more mid week games.

Especially with UGA on the road. 2/3 would do wonders for our RPI

Anyone care to guesstimate who we might see on day 1 n hoover? Probably one of Vandy, Tenner i assume?

Not saying it will happen but I’m interested to see how next weekend turns out. Georgia is good but 1/3 of their conference wins are against bottom two teams. 10 of 18 against teams in bottom half of league.

LSU needs 2 against GA and FL. Then 2 at Hoover and there in.
