One thing I noticed about Landon Clark is that the lights do not seem to bright for him

Every time he gets tossed out there, he seems to fully embrace the moment. Yeah, he's played in a lot of garbage time but he's also had some special package plays in the middle of big games against good teams and he's never looked like a deer in headlights.
He also has some moxie to him, as you could see when he scored, or the late hit by aggie out of bounds, or how ticked he was at the dropped pass at the end of the game.
Dude seems like a gamer.
Sam looked great after he stopped trying to scramble, so I feel very confident about him getting better and better. But he's banged up and the way he plays, he will probably continue to be banged up.
I'm just glad if we have to throw Clark out there at some point this season, he doesn't seem like he'll be hindered by nerves. Which is good to know.

I’m wondering if maybe Sam can get some rest this weekend and Clark can start. It’d be nice to see a full game plan for him. Just to give him some experience. And Sam some rest.

Leavitt got better once he got hurt. He became more of a QB and was throwing dimes. Clark I don’t think threw a single pass. Maybe that’s by design for the time he was in, but I want to see more passing from him.
I’m not excited about having a run first backup after it appears our starter may have finally broken his run first mindset and is showing he has an arm.

Clark was 0/5 on pass attempts. Not all his fault, but he did throw.

If Sam's injury isn't too bad, he needs to continue to get game reps. That's one of the few things that can help with some of the problems he's having. He needs the reps with his offense to continue to get timing down.
That said, it wouldn't surprise me if they gave him a week of rest depending on the severity of the injury.

Clark threw a couple. One for sure at the goal line that should have been caught for a TD

Clark threw two should have been touchdowns. He hit Jones and Brown right in the hands and they both dropped them.

In my opinion, and it’s not worth much because I’m not the coach, is that if Sam is not seriously injured, he needs to at least still play a half against McNeese, he still needs to work on his timing with his receivers and his pocket presence. Not looking to scramble or run and get re-injured. Obviously, if we go up three touchdowns, then put Landon in and let him finish the game certainly a half, if not more.

There’s a sense of excitement when he comes in that I don’t get with leavitt.
As a college football fan I would take Clark as my qb, he’s got a chip on his shoulder and wants it more, boy plays with a fire lit under his arse. I love it.

He too is too quick to run. I wish he would sit longer and wait for things to open up by air. He's got wheels, no doubt, which should make him feel more comfortable to sit longer, he has escape ability.
