LSU did a great job of utilizing the portal to address its need at this position in 2023 with the addition of Swinson (Oregon) and Shand (Arizona) and will need to replicate that success this year.

Yea little odd. When Dandy was alive he gave some good information and always had some good takes. I don’t read it as much since his son took over, but I’ve never seen him posting nonsense rumors or trash, always thought he was straight forward.

Hopefully someone talks Womack outta it, I mean the playing time is for the taking, not sure what’s going on behind closed doors but to me it would make sense to stay and earn a wide open spot

I think there are 3 positions that are equally critical but DE is pretty dang thin and inexperienced. They need 2 minimum but 3 would be better and preferably 2 proven DE’s. Would be very lucky to find another Swinson. Need 2 WR’s, 2 CB’s, QB, OT, RB, TE, DT and S.

I said mid-season that Swinson would be sorely missed. In fact Swinson may be the best DE I've seen at LSU in a long time. Swinson may go in the 1st round.
We need a stud or two via the portal for sure at this position. DE is arguably the second or third most critical position behind QB & possibly OT.

Womack's agent knows what LSU has... He is likely telling them to cough up the money or be left with no one.
