This reminded me of a post that I meant to comment on before getting distracted and then later could not remember who wrote it until I saw the username you included.

This was from a couple of weeks ago. I hope and pray surgery goes well, and that he gets to go back and live with his family soon. His daughter seems to be able to handle herself amongst all the Ole Miss fans that live in Hattiesburg. I lived there once. Great area outside of when Ole Miss wins anything.

I’ve been in the hospital in Houston waiting for a heart for three months so I’ve had plenty of time to keep up with everything that’s going on and have talked to my 11 year old daughter a little bit about it. Her: Daddy, did you hear that they aren’t kicking LSU out of the SEC?

Me: Yes baby, but we knew that four days ago when the conversation started happening, because we have common sense

Her: Yea, I didn’t think so. It sounded pretty stupid the way they described it. They just seemed more mad than anything.

Me: Who is “they”?

Her: Pretty much everybody at school. Some of the kids in my class were mad and talking to me about it. They said we should’ve gotten kicked out for cheating. I just said “LSU didn’t do anything different than the other schools. Y’all are just butt hurt that we took your coach.”

Me: Well played kiddo. Well played.


So this is even getting down to the kids and affecting them. I for one, am happy about it because that means the hatred for LSU from ole miss fans is still being sewn in at an early age. Our little brother isn’t going away anytime soon.

Wow, been posting with him all week. Certainly prayers are up.

I am sure the near term wiil be rough in recovery. Good friend of mine just celebrated 25 yrs of his liver transplant.
