Since 2000 since that’s when we say college football started:

Home & Homes with

02/04 (sic) 07 Virginia Tech / Road first

03/06 Arizona / Road first

Arizona State / Supposed to play at LSU first. Game moved to Arizona State / Still waiting on Arizona State game at LSU

Washington 09/12 Road first

West Virginia 10/11 Home first

Syracuse 15/17 Road first

Texas 19/? Road first

UCLA, Oklahoma, Clemson, and Utah all road first in the next decade. The frick is LSU doing.

It’s amazing they never learned from the stunt Virginia Tech pulled for what was supposed to be an 02/04 match up.

LSU almost always plays on the road first when they schedule big home & homes. It gives the other school a chance to pull something after their home game is done.

The pandemic isn’t LSU’s fault but they went to Texas first and now they may not ever see Texas again.

LSU has home & homes scheduled with UCLA, Clemson, Oklahoma, and Utah in the next decade and in all four LSU goes on the road first.

LSU’s still waiting on Arizona State to play a game in Tiger Stadium after Katrina postponed that game.

If we win on the road in those matchups, it sets up a pretty good chance that we will win the return game in DV and sweep.

Agreed. Beating their arse in Austin on the way to our natty is good enough. They can let that shite marinate for the next decade

Glad we didn't in this case with Texas. Imagine the bullshite we would hear from Texas fans if we had them at home last year beat them and then didn't play them at home on a return game here in 2020.
But I see your point.

Agree 100. I reviewed all the future OOC home and home series and every single one has us playing away. Sorry, but with Tiger Stadium as often named the #1 CFb venue and the success of the last 10-20 years, we should be dictating more of these series. Hopefully Woodward is able to right that - I'm not sure how many of these have been under his leadership vs. Aleva.

Yea I'm glad it happened that way too. That arse is still red from that game and they have to live with that memory.

Until we play in Baton Rouge to finish this contract I will call every Texas fan I know a coward to their face. They should make it up in good faith. Both fans deserve it. But they will weasel out of it and throw up their hands. They’re chicken shits and that’s why they’ve had one good season in 40 years.

At least their stunt helped win us a natty and cost them a chance at one

Verge Ausberry said on a radio interview last year that LSU would rather play the home game last. His reason was because if we win the first meeting at home there will be revenge factors on the road in a hostile environment the following year. If your LSU, you will always play in a hostile environment no matter what. I rather play them at home first because you never know if that second matchup will ever happen.

Yeah that doesn’t make any sense Verge. Everyone will always be fired up to the max to play LSU. When you go on the road first they hold you by the balls.

We were supposed to play Va Tech in the season opener for both teams, but in like May they scheduled a tune up game with some scrub and it was called the Black Coaches Association game, or something like that.

So they got a warm up and a chance to work out the kinks while we went into Blacksburg cold.
