Good for him. As long as he is doing it because he believes he should not because of peer pressure.

if I was a black NFL player, I would probably be kneeling, too, based on Trump's comments this week.

You seriously fail to see why this is a big deal. I hope the NFL popularity continues to take a nosedive and takes away this god given opportunity to make an incredible living. Maybe then they will get it. Remember, BLM is against capitalism. Lmao.
Didn't fournette wear a shirt supporting a cop killer in br?
Eventually, they will destroy the NFL...I love that ratings are spiraling down. Biting the hand that feeds them. Gotta love it.

Who's not letting him exercise his first amendment right? Of course, when exercising rights, there are responsibilities and, at times, consequences. It's certainly his right to disrespect this country, the flag, the anthem, those who died or where maimed defending the country and liberty around the world, but it's anyone else's right to criticize him for doing so, not have him endorse their products, and not hire him in the future.

Good thing the NFL can go frick themselves and I won't contribute a single minute of my valuable time watching their garbage product.

He's a legal American citizen
He works legally
He pays taxes
He hasn't broken any laws that I know of
He seems to be generous with his time and money
How many other people don't meet those criteria? They are the problem, not him.

it astounds me how little people know about our Constitution.
This issue has NOTHING to do with the First Amendment, which only says that the GOVERNMENT can't prohibit free speech.
The NFL is not a government organization so the First Amendment is inapplicable.
Private organizations can restrict their employees' speech however they like.
If a McDonald's store flew a Nazi flag, I guarantee you McDonald's CEO would immediately and harshly lower the boom on that store owner. No "freedom of speech" issue there.

Good for him. At the very least he is distancing himself from this toxic board

Yea, me not caring about players kneeling makes me the snowflake
Posted on 9/24/17 at 12:36 pm to atltiger6487
I'm sure Fournette will be punished severely by the NFL and the Jaguars
Jk
He's much more important than any individual McDonald's or McDonald's employee and your comparison is outlandish

my McDonald's comparison was simply to show that a private organization can, and should, restrict speech that's damaging the business.

Its his right on his time not the fans. What would the nfls reaction be if a player was holding up an anti abortion sign during the anthem ? The NFL is a bunch of PC punks.
Posted on 9/24/17 at 12:41 pm to atltiger6487
And I'm telling you that the NFL won't do anything about it
Especially with more players doing it
