That game and the 1988 Earthquake game were just about the only notable wins LSU has ever posted in purples.

Booty was awful

You can say that again. When the 2nd half started, and Davey came out on the field, the boost to the whole team was palpable. You could see it in the body language of the whole team, they were not going to lose that game.

Purple jerseys in a bowl game. Never see that again. Might not see that vs. a SEC team again... Rohan Dave to Josh's Reed - one of the all-time combos

I was there. It was the beginning of the Golden Era of LSU football.

Rohan Davey is the GOAT.

Purple jerseys in a bowl game

Really, that's the sort of game made for purple jerseys, IMHO. I think they should be worn in an occasional high profile game, like a bowl game, or a top level SEC game, as vs. Alabama, or Georgia. Where LSU screws up w/ purple jersey utilization, is when they're worn in games vs. Troy, or McNasty State, or University of the Pathetic.

Ro and Reed were such a dynamic duo! Plus Saban was still enjoying football then!

That is the offense we need to run now

Man I wish they’d go back to the old jump high five. Just like Tecmo Bowl

One of those fun times when I can pull against GT full force.

LSU always, always comes first.
