1986 Texas A&M @ LSU This is Sammy Martin's 66 yard touchdown run. Incredibly explosive how he takes off and runs right down the middle of the field.

First game of the 1986 season and first game vs A&M since 1975. First game of a 10-game series.

Kyler Murray’s Dad, Kevin, was the A&M QB. Allegedly, he’s the reason Harvey Williams signed with LSU.

My first game as a season ticket holder. Was in the original West Upper deck. Scared the heck out of me in the first qtr. Just knew I was going to tumble out of there!

Well, he was 35 years old playing against a bunch of kids. So...

ditto, senior in HS.

Didn't Ron Sancho get a pick six, or was that 1988?

Edit: nope, that was 1988. Brooks got the pick six in '86.

IIRC, this was the game where lsu turned to a freshman qb off the bench named Hodson.

Tommy was a RS Freshman that game, the season opener m. He started that game. The only one he didn’t start was 1987 Bama.

That was a fun game. LSU with Tommy Hodson felt like it was headed somewhere. Who would've guessed four years later it would all come crashing down.

Was definitely an upset... I want to say Aggie was higher ranked and we weren't expected to win. But played lights out... a great memory

Was at that game as a student. Lived in Hatcher. Awesome game and rode high all week...... until the next Saturday vs Miami of Ohio. Ughh. That was a UAB or Troy type game.
