You made it longer than most.
And honestly Rouge, I don't blame you. I really don't.I know you are a "true" fan.
But lets stop pretending Tiger Stadium is this fearsome plaace that intimidates everyone. The fact is, if you punch us square in the face, we start looking for the car keys.

are you saying that LSU is the Mike Tyson of college football?

Good post. I wish that I could learn to leave early as I got back to Kingwood at 4am. Crazy tired today, but what a comeback with 19k of my greatest fans - fanatics!

of course theres some fans who left because of family issues (wife, kids, etc) and some others who left because of the weather, but you cant try to tell me that a lot of the people who left werent "those guys" and you know exactly who im talking about. the ignorant, old, beer bellied drunk guy who critisizes every play, thinks he knows everything, says he could coach better than les, makes terrible jokes, and thrives off of lsu losing because he gets to bitch. basically season ticket holders that have the money to sit in the lower bowl at the 50.
What gets me is, why dont you fairweather, negatigers just accept who you really are? There would not be any debate, if you would just accept who you are and own up to it. You people that leave early and fit the above description are what you are, yet you try to make exuses and fight it and try to disguise it as something else. Just admit it and all these threads gradually fade away with the knowledge that we all know who we really are.....
Oh and i particularly like the argument that starts with," If you dont think Florida, Tennessee, etc...fans arent doing the same thing then you are delusional".....hahahaha...justified behavior by comparison...you idiots are ridiculous.

we almost lost to fricking troy. I don't care how majical of a comeback that was. This team is underacheiving at best.
we have 7 wins w/ the worst qb play at lsu in the last 30 years. fyi.

Reece Davis even called out our fairweather fans "LSU fans WILL bail if things aren't going their way, they WILL do that."
Embarrassing. I love my Tigers but our fans are embarassing.

At this point LSU fans just need to STFU. We are largely irrelevant, living off past glory, full of self-congratulatory bluster. Even now, some tard (sorry PJ) is on my radio talking about Nick Saban. Saban ? We don't believe in our team, we don't believe in our coaches, it's not important to us anymore to even stay at the stadium. We have made second-guessing an art form and have a juvenile view of reality. We bitched our way through a National Freaking Championship and now we are sniveling through a 9/10 win season. THAT IS WHO WE ARE. Snivelers. Whiners. Crybabies. With a ridiculous sense of entitlement.
Yep yer right--heck some of even sellout to the Gumps or UGA for the biggest games of the year.

Gmantard-.You are the biggest whiny bitch, doily-folder on the board. I generously offered you some TROY tix, and you declined. Don't hate me because I have tix and access to even more tix. Don't hate me because my boys always set me up with great corporate seats .Don't hate me because Mrs. Pimp corrals Box seats for Georgia and we can afford to sell our other seats. Be a big Boy and buy your own. Thou shalt not covet Pimps tix.

you failed to bring up the worse defense since the dinardo era since we are debating on the facts.

I guess Condon is gonna talk about this for the next 3 days.
Posted on 11/16/08 at 1:24 pm to Lsupimp
Hey Pimp -- any time you want to give me free tix, I will drive over from Florida and be thrilled shitless to watch the Tigers play. And I will NOT leave early.
And thank you for your eloquent speech.

CT-I'd love the company. Remember next year, for all the minor games people are LITERALLY handing them out for free before the game.
I have two unused TROY tix in my pocket because GMan didn't have the energy to get off his butt and come get his free tix (something about having to fold doilies and watch Boy Band vids w/ his new BFF) and I couldn't give them away at gametime.

put down the thesaurus and quit trying to sound smart. just focus on all the one syllable words you know.
and your wrong, the fans that left are pussies.

It was either leave or kill the wife to stop the whining and there were too many witnesses to do the right thing.
You need to find a wife like ME! I've left once ... in 11 years of having season tickets ... and it was to go to the hospital as I was pregnant (5 months) and having pains. Miss State, 2000.
(PS .. my husband lays the law down ... we tell anyone who comes with us that we will not leave early ... no one has declined an invite yet!)

I will keep that in mind. But I would sure hate to drive 5 hours and not be able to find anyone giving away tickets. I would even buy them for face value. Next year I WILL drive over there if this is true.

I see, so before the game they were face value, now after the game they were "Free". But like you said, its all about the Benjamins for you.
Nice.
BTW Did your Houndstooh hat you bought off the profits from selling out last week to Gumps keep your ears warm?

quote:You are right in that the fans can do whatever they want to. And there are various good reasons for wanting to leave and if I were there, I'd certainly not delight in staying to the bitter end but we just can't consider ourselves ANY better fans than any other school. We are in fact one of the worst fan bases around because of this kind of non-support. Our fans are fickle, they are whiney, immature and overall pretty darn flighty. We are just simply not good fans. But you are right, everyone is entitled to do what they want. Our fans are who they are. They are more fired up about a pre-game or post game party than they will ever get about a game. Its more important to celebrate food and booze than our football team.
Why sit by miserably, witnessing that ignominious defeat when they can go get a bowl of gumbo and a bourbon

I can only speak for myself, but I have lost some of my mojo as a fan since our run of unprecedented success. It seems like all of the mediocrity we've seen this year is now easier to take. Its like for all those years we wanted to be regarded as a top 10 program.Once we achieved that goal I'm just on cruise control as a fan. After 25 years of taking it in the gut everytime we lost,I now just go home and feel content with being in the middle of the greatest era in LSU FOOTBALL however long it lasts.I ended up at the GOLD CLUB and was up in the VIP when the comeback took place. As I assended the stairs with a smile on my face, upon hearing the news my smile got bigger and I went home and told the wife how I braved the cold to root my tigers on.
