About as good a statement of fact as I have ever read on this forum. Fairweather is a kind adjective to some that post here and others that just run their mouth in a crowd.

I left early because I was SICK...SICK of the booing and the people who were sitting in my section. I sat with my podnah in his seats (SW corner)instead of mine. The people who have tickets down there are sickening. Booing, talking about shite they have no idea about (pretty easy to tell who knows football and who doesn't). I couldn't take it anymore. I thought about moving to those beautiful 50 yard line, 20 rows up gold chair backs, but I didn't wanna sit in a land of ghosts. In hindsight, yea I wish I would've stayed. I rarely leave early. With the negativity of the fans along with the awful, awful play of LSU - let's not forget that this was atrocious play - it was time for me to get out of there. The weather was not a problem. It was the atmosphere.

HUH??
Troy WALKED it down the field for td's the first 2 times they touched the ball. The pick 6 made it 24.

chill the F out
of course theres some fans who left because of family issues (wife, kids, etc) and some others who left because of the weather, but you cant try to tell me that a lot of the people who left werent "those guys" and you know exactly who im talking about. the ignorant, old, beer bellied drunk guy who critisizes every play, thinks he knows everything, says he could coach better than les, makes terrible jokes, and thrives off of lsu losing because he gets to bitch. basically season ticket holders that have the money to sit in the lower bowl at the 50.
on a new note, the student section looked pretty full the whole game. i was on the front row in front of the band and the students seemed pretty active

I TOTALLY feel your pain. I sat in those chairbacks instead of my normal ez seats SPECIFICALLY to avoid negative idiots. It's one thing to suffer through idiots. But to pay to do it ? It takes all the strength in my body to stay in my seat.

It was pretty embarrsssing at the end. I'd day 40,000 fans left tops. It probably would have been the same if the game was played in September because it was "TOO HOT" to stay. But it wasn't YOUR fault if you left early. And if you can't think of anyone too blame just blame the Republicans.

Agreed. We are JUST like EVERBODY ELSE. Nothing worth writing poems about. Just another fan base. We like to party and have fun and when they win slap each other on the back and talk about how awesome we are. Just like everybody else.
Pretty much, yes.

We've got two NC's this decade and are 9 years removed from the debacle that was the end of the Dinardo Era.
that doesn't excuse the first half performance last night, but christ, have a little perspective.

I DON"T BLAME ANYBODY WHO LEFT EARLY. They are adults, they paid for their tickets.
Exactly, why pay for something you don't care to watch? I cannot understand anyone who pays $100 to $500 per ticket would not want to stay? I always want my moneys worth so I stay to the end.
When you pay $35 a ticket maybe you only expect to get an hours of entertainment.
I miss Saturday's in Tiger Stadium.

And really-heres another thing...
To all those bitching about how the Rich And Famous should sell their tix to more "deserving " fans...all I can say is GET your butt out to the Stadium on Gameday-bc there are THOUSANDS of free tix.
I offered the tix free all day. NO takers , except scalpers. Screw scalpers.

at halftime, i said that if Troy extended the lead that i was leaving
if the team didnt want to be there, then i didnt want to be there either
troy went up 31-3 and i bolted
dont feel bad about it for one second

Uh, I was in the student section, and maybe it looked different from your angle, but a bunch of students left at the end of the first quarter, and it was half empty by the half. That being said, the student section was the most dense section by the end (but only towards the front rows).

I agree, it has really nothing to do with "rich and famous" versus "working class", the stadium was empty all over.
