People that downvote you are lying to themselves. Herman would have gotten us there with Aranda as DC. Herman had a HUGE hurdle to deal with when he got to Texas.

And, Herman went 6-0 against top 25 teams while at UH, had top 5 recruiting classes in two of his three full recruiting cycles at UT, and gave LSU its toughest game in 2019.

Dude can coach and recruit.

Jimbo won a title at Florida State so I would tend to think he would win one here.

No Brady, no natty. Everyone should get a solid grip on that reality. It wasn't O, it wasn't E, it wasn't Aranda....It was fricking Brady, and he was a once in a lifetime hire, and LSU made the most of it.

Jimbo won a NC and has built AM in to a quality program. His starting Qb is out this year but he can flat out coach. Texas Am was ranked top 10 2 weeks ago. I don’t know why the hell you are all sleeping on Jimbo

I still think Jimbo would have done really well here if he had been hired for the 2016 season

LSU isn't a hard place to win at anymore

Burrow and Brady won a NC for O. Have to credit him for ups if you crucify him for downs. That said, Vegas odds say that was a one time miracle situation and we will never see that again, certainly not under Orgeron. With all the other off the field issues it’s time to look at someone who can actually coach and bring coaches in who want to be a part of the organization.

I just can’t see anyone who would say, “I’m not sure if I want to be on the staff of this Luke Fickell guy”. The guy is in Ohio and has a top 10 program with OSU in the same state. Ohio has 1/3 of the talent Louisiana has. You have to make this guy say no if you’re Woodward.

O knew that the LSU HC job was his LAST, best, and ONLY shot at ever getting a P5 HC job again. So from the SECOND he was named the interim HC he began a PR campaign aimed at accomplishing that goal. Why was Les fired? People the fans/admiration were sick of him REFUSING to change the offense. So O fired Cameron to quickly gain favor among the masses.

O didn’t fire Cameron, Aleva did He shite canned Les and Cam after the Auburn debacle. You have your shite together though other than that and this is a solid take. Les wouldn’t change even though he promised to and after the Wisconsin game it was obvious. So they said can him after his next loss. Same with O now. Next loss he’s gone. Will it be tomorrow or next Sunday or can he get on a roll? Who knows but things are out of control with O so he’s a dead man walking. Geaux Tigers

It could have been historically worse. LSU could have chosen Pat Sullivan in 1994, after Hallman was dismissed, and ended up with 20 straight losing seasons, instead of 6.

And Jimbo is going through a rough patch this year, but he's a good coach and his teams play fundamentally sound football. The just need a proven QB, and I believe their current signal caller Calzado will make significant strides as the season progresses.

Are you really this dumb? Brady was a big part of what happened, but he would never have won it on his own. Hell, he wasn't even the full time OC! Too many people do not give Aranda and E enough credit. I would argue that Aranda was more important overall since he was so calm and collected. He kept 0 out of the mix on D (which probably caused the so called rift), and kept the team focused. E was the one who kept the offense steady for Brady to be able to attack when needed.

0 just lucked into the whole thing, as E brought Brady in and Aranda was a holdover from Les.

The missing piece is Burrow and 0 was not the one who brought him in either.

"Thankful for O to pull in Joe Burrow."

That was 100% Bill Busch

Sam’s stats don’t tell the full story there. He was the leader of that team and definitely got better over his next two years. His 2018 year was great for a college QB.
