Why is a nonprofit throwing that kind of money around? 245 million could pay off a lot of people's medical bills.

I’ve been talking about this with others. The money OLOL has thrown at LSU in recent years is insane and now they’re throwing money at the investment firm for the arena naming rights?

Like, where is the decent healthcare?

So glad someone brought this up. It’s OLOL corporate sponsor this and corporate sponsor that, but have you been in that ER? Had a loved one in the hospital recently? How about spending money on actual health care instead of ridiculous marketing.

You do realize if non profits were efficient they wouldn’t need charity?

It'll end up just being colloquially referred to as "Lake Arena," I bet.

Cane's the still the sponsor of the River Center downtown, and that facility is still going to be used (although not for big concerts). It doesn't make sense for Cane's to sponsor both big arenas in Baton Rouge.

Like it a little but, but how about a little less "concrete jungle"

Why this would be way more respectable than Get Gordon Fieldhouse

Why doesn’t it make sense? I’m sure that deal with the River Center was pretty affordable.

This advertisement is critical. I know when I call 911 my first thought is who’s LSU’s authorized emergency room partner.

It’s a hospital. They can afford to do all these things AND throw money at naming rights deals, but they don’t.

between Ochsner and The Lake- it amazing these "non profit" entities have so much extra money to do things like this...

So yeah I guess Pete Maravich is old news huh? Guess his estate couldn’t pony up a few hundred million.
