OLOL and LSU Violations

It seems strange that Dr. Redfield Bryan, who served on several Boards of OLOL, and John Paul Funes, President of OLOL Foundation, were both accused or involved in paying either LSU athletes (Lester Earl) or paying a family member not to work at the hospital. The common tread seems to be OLOL, a Corporate Sponsor. Coincidence?

It seems strange that you thought this deserved its own thread when this topic has been beaten to death over the past two days.

That’s a new name to me. Who is he?
NVM he’s the one he paid Lester Earl...
Yeah this is a fricking stretch.

Dr. Redfield Bryan
One is a good man that simply helped a college athlete out, the other embezzled millions from a charity for his own personal gain

Sounds like some executives want to get million dollar access and perks to the athletic program but have their employer pay for it.

According to Guilbeau: LSU reported it once they found out, even though LSU had nothing to do with it but the NCAA holds LSU responsible anytime a rogue booster does something like this that you can't police.
At that time, LSU arranged for offensive lineman Vadal Alexander's father James Alexander of Buford, Georgia, to receive $180,000 for a no-show job.

Says who? I don't recall the university or staff giving Funes directives to pay this money. Also no offense to Vadal, but he wasn't exactly a high ranking recruit. He turned out to be very good but he wasn't exactly a blue chip prospect from the start.
I seem to remember hearing this had less to do about Vadal and rather more about laundering money perhaps. I could be off, but i recall hearinr that.

This to me is the bigger deal. If LSU self reported this as soon as they found out then we will not be given the hammer. Or at least I hope not. It is next to impossible to police rogue boosters.

Media is running with this fake news as though LSU had control and that James Alexander kept all $180k. Ole Miss friends are screaming bloody murder.
