Think about it.

Ingram will get a few weeks to gain some ground.
Traore' is getting better and better with the reps he gets.
Rosenthal is also developing quickly in Charles' absence.
Charles will be available and healthy.
Hines gets more time to learn OC to backup Cush.
Deculus is getting increasingly better with pass protection.

The timing of this bunch gelling couldn't be better.....well, it would have with an earlier arrival of Ingram.

I'm excited to see the uglies claim their glory!

As far as injuries go, the big sticker is Marshall. Losing your TD leader for 4-6 weeks hurts.

Continuity is big for this unit, but also a big measure of credit belongs to the offensive staff for running a scheme which gets the ball out of Burrow's hands quicker and uses his skills to everyone's advantage.

I’ll talk about it after they go against a decent d-line. If we play Florida and Joe isn’t sacked 8 times, I’ll speak things about how they’ve improved.

They are improving and the quick passes definitely help them out. Hope they stay healthy

The Magee or Ingram issue is one I’m curious about. Magee has been pretty good in there. Might not be a given that Ingram replaces him.

This is fair as well. While it is pretty clear our OL is playing better and offense has entered a new era, the fact remains we haven't exactly gone up against any world-beater defenses. Florida and Auburn will be serious tests.

I agree. Magee has stepped his game up BIG time so far through 4 games. Aside from the obvious offensive explosion, that has been my second biggest surprise thus far. Either way, having the two of them available (Ingram and Magee) is certainly a GOOD thing

Magee hasn't been playing great overall, not bad... but not great.

He stepped it up last game, and not just the 2fer pancake blocks. I'm betting Ingram coming back lit a little fire under his arse.

I am assuming Ingram is starting by UF. But you are right, it might be a time-split situation. And don't forget, Ingram is going to be asked to switch sides in an offense he's never played in before. While I don't think swapping sides is that big of a deal (as an OG) the new offense calls MIGHT present a problem. He's had them in his hand for a while; but that's different than real time, with crowd noise, adjusting at the line, and factoring in Burrow and Cush's reads.

But if Magee steps it up, then it makes easing Ingram in even better for the team.

True. But compared to a lack luster performance last year, he has improved immensely through 4 games this season.

I have hopes.. if that is the case, we are in much better shape on the O-line than we had thought going into the season

Not disagreeing with this but of all the positions on this team to have a 4-6 week injury, WR is it. So we are fortunate. Sullivan, Moss, etc should step up as big red zone targets in his absence.

Magee has definitely held the fort well. He had easily the Offensive Lineman Play of the Year against Vanderbilt this past weekend. I seriously hope someone gives that man an award at the end of the year for that double kill.

Also, there seemed to be a ton of discussion preseason from fans here about Deculus and how bad he was going to be. So far, he's done an outstanding job. I think he has more than earned his place on the right side over there.

LT is still the worrisome spot, and we really need Charles to get more snaps before Bama. His suspension, and whatever issue caused it, is a bigger storyline than we've given it credit for to this point because we've sailed through the early part of the schedule. If he is still getting up to midseason form when we face the defensive lines of Auburn and Florida, it could make for a difficult afternoon.

Ah....no mention because he has been stable/steady. But, absolutely, he is likely only getting better.

Did you even watch the Vanderbilt game? There's about to be a new TD leader in town regardless of injuries.
