Ole Miss might have the worst defense in the sec
This, and a QB that is just not experienced seeing the type of speed, complexity of coverages or man to man skills our DBs possess. This game could go big LSUs way. Their QB will throw a pick or two. That is two lost possessions, the days of having to score on 75% of possessions for LSU to win is gone for now. If we dont turn it over, and convert third downs at a decent rate, we win. Great defense beats good offense.

And to restate your point. Ole Miss is atrocious on defense against SEC teams. Yes, Clemson and UF are not great teams, but both have decent Defenses that we were able to do enough. I see 28-35 points scored by us. Thaat is enough to win.

we're going to have to score more than 23 or 20 or 17 points to win this one...all I'm saying.

If LSU scores 23 points they will win. Ole Miss will not score more than 23 on this defense.

I held my breath when Nuss came back out in the second half and proceeded to get nailed on his final drive. Nuss gets up after every hit like he needs to be on a stretcher.

it isn't hard to look good when you basically know every play the offense is running by personnel and alignment. LSU is way beyond predictable.

The offense, particularly the run game has had its struggles but this is utter bullshite & absolutely wrong.

They give up 190 yards a game on the ground.

Yep. You can argue Arkansas as well. Both are pretty bad.

if your level of optimism about our offense wasn’t raised at all this week then you’re just going out of your way to be a miserable person.

Miserable people because we noted we were playing Southeastern Louisiana?

If we leave their defensive linemen unblocked (like we have done every game so far), it doesn’t matter who we are playing. It is maddening that our line continues to miss blocks bc they don’t know who to block on a given play. I’d rather have lesser talented players that know what to do than a more talented player who has no clue. I realize we have new players at multiple positions on the line this year, but these guys have been on the team for multiple years. This should not be happening as often as it does.

They are not going to be able to bring much pressure. Their safety will be playing fifteen yards off the LOS.

Kiffin knows he is going to have trouble covering our guys.

I am more concerned with our first 15 play script.

If he legit has scripted opening plays in these games, he's abandoning them early, or they're just the most generic, bullshite plays in the book. There might be one play that he tries to get misdirection on, and when it fails, he's back a screen pass behind the line, then a counter that the linemen can't block, wash, rinse, repeat. Everyone has him figured out before he gets off the bus.

This reply is not towards you StatMaster because I agree. But I wanted to add that they keep saying Ole Miss’s defense is bad but don’t be surprised/mad/disappointed at all when LSU makes the Ole Miss defense look pretty legit. Because you know Ole Miss is going to be fired up and their defense will most likely be playing way over their heads next week along with Sloans pussified play calling. Just hope the defense keeps dominating. This LSU offense hasn’t shown anything at all so far to prove that they can take advantage of a weaker SEC defense.

Hes abandoning the script because we're going 3 & out. And yes it has already been confirmed by multiple people that Sloan scripts his first 12-15 plays.
