I'm just trying to point out that most of the difference (losses for Ole Miss) in the series record occurred prior to WWII.

No. It is not BS. Arkansas has been a bigger rivalry than Ole Piss for a long time now. They've actually fielded decent teams and the games have had big implications on the West several times. Ole Piss hasn't been relevant but maybe one year in my recent memory. How can a rivalry be relevant when the fanbase doesn't even see you as a true rivalry? The real truth is LSU doesn't have a true rivalry. Right now our biggest rival games are Bama, Florida, AU and Arkansas in that order.

Usually the SEC is shook up based on Bama/Florida/LSU all playing. LSU is still without a truly defined rivalry. The Ole Piss myth is ancient, like over 25 years old...

Yeah, but your top 3 laugh at you claiming you're one of their main rivals. Just admit it Russian, we are your main rival.

That has nothing to do Ole Miss being your main rival.

Ole Miss has noting to do with LSU's modern rivals.

I suppose when you say, "main rival" you mean like Michigan State wants Michigan to say that MSU is their main rivals.

I don't understand the point to this post. Are you wanting 51% of us to finally give in and say, "You, sir, are right, We respect you." ....and then take those stats back to the Ole Miss board (if there is one) and get your buddies to applaud you.

I don't know nor care what Alabama, Auburn and Florida fans think, but I know LSU fans think of those as our biggest rivals, especially in football.

Ole Miss is not even on the radar any more. It used to be but the Bears are just no longer relevant in football. The last two years happened because Ole Miss was so low the LSU players overlooked them.

That is the biggest danger this Saturday: LSU players will be looking at Arkansas and forget about the Louisiana Black Bears coming to town. Even if that's true, it won't matter this Saturday. Houston Nutt took over a troubled program and destroyed it.

Anyone can make a point with selective statistics. Why not go back 60 years?

It must suck not having a true rival then.

If you want to be considered a true rival, then you need to win an SEC Championship in football (it has been waaayyyy too long). How about making it to Omaha in baseball? How about winning an SEC title in basketball? Face it, Ole Miss is inferior to LSU when it comes to athletics. You are simply a neighbor that we dislike, nothing less, nothing more.

They're not selective. They're indicative of how the rivalry has fallen off in recent years to the extent that to the LSU faithful, Ole Miss is just the trap game after Bama.

After 1999, 2001, 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2010, I hate Auburn with a pretty intense passion. I don't necessarily care if it's not reciprocated, I can ALWAYS get up for this game and look forward to beating the piss out of them.
