How can you be "overconfident" when you're only two weeks removed from a loss to TROY?

Ole Miss fans?? Maybe Freeze?

Those OM players have ZERO connection to Coach O.

The "not so bad Vandy team" has allowed 49+ average the last four games, not the same as throwing against our team.

[quote]Hopefully they stay focused/quote]The fact that MISS put up 57 points on a questionable Vandy squad, coupled with our nightmare performances against MSU and Troy, should be both instructive and incentive enough for our Tigers to come ready to rumble.

Jackson and Toliver are playing their best FB right now, and they along with the FR in the secondary will no doubt get tested next week. We need to put enough pressure on Patterson to force some mistakes, and we need to tackle well after the catch. NO big plays.
On OFF, great time to get Guice going, control the LOS and clock and work a short passing game to extend drives, eat up clock and put points on the board.
OM will come out swinging, crowd will be into it. We need to take those shots and deliver some of our own.

Best thing about playing Ole Miss is that they don't really have a run game at all.

We'll give up a few big plays, but LSU should win this one. Will most likely need anywhere from 28-31 points.

No, but they are a very different challenge. They played mistake free football against Vandy and their offense put up 600 yards. They throw a lot, that should favor us. Our DNA should be able to snag a couple of ints. Shea can run a bit too.

I don't think it's a trap game, it's an SEC west game.

bullshite.

Ole Miss isn't a trap game. It's a litmus test.

Ole Miss doesn't have a win over a team in the top 50 and got beat down by Auburn and arse raped by 60+ by Alabama. They are coached by a position coach filling in for their real coach ( ), and are not a threat to any team with real aspirations.

Are we the kind of team that will play up and down to the competition? Or are we a team that just needed to find our groove and finally on track to do the things we are capable of doing.

Enough of this excuse making. Alabama is the only team left on our schedule capable of beating LSU. We are facing four teams left with terrible rosters and likely lame duck coaches.

Any other losses would be regression and prove that this comeback from a 20 point deficit means more about Auburn that it does about us.

9-3. Get there. No excuses.

Our DBs are going to have to play their hardest game all year. Ole Miss has some talent at receivers and Shea is capable of getting them the ball (even though he is one goofy looking son of a bitch).

However, they have absolutely no running game at all and their defense is atrocious. We should be able to just line up and run the ball down their throats and chew up clock big time keeping Shea and those receivers off the field.

It is a trap game but not from overconfidence. We've now played two emotional games in a row, and now have to go on the road against a lesser team. It's human nature to have an emotional letdown, no matter how hard you try.

I believe “trap” is when you have a game that should be easy before a big game. We have a bye week after old miss.
Btw O is not these guys “old coach”. Someone might mention he coached there but that doesnt mean shite to this team. Sheesh

Yeah, I was referring to their fans. They HATE Coach O. Their players don't give a shite about Coach O, but the team feeds off the fans. We already know how much they hate LSU on the regular. Also, we've lost 3 of the last 4 over there. Of course, our strength is our pass D, so that should be a big advantage for us.

Don't really think that'll come into play. Most of the players were 12 or younger when he was there. Then again, who knows? You may be right. Current coaches may pump up the team by using that.
