Reality that Kiffin sees…. A team with a middle of the road defense and decent offense whips their arse because their QB is one dimensional.

Georgia beat them this year and would beat them again in a playoff game. Ole Miss can not beat Ohio State, which will probably win it all this year. Ole Miss does not have a realistic chance this year. A bad Florida team almost beat them last week. If Lane stays at Ole Miss, they will probably exit the playoffs in the 1st round, maybe the second round, and then Lane will be sitting in Oxford, wondering "Why didn't I take the LSU offer?"

Some think Kiffin will land at Florida. Everybody is just guessing but Aaron Taylor and Rick Neuheisel predicted He will be the Gator new coach. Taylor even going so far as to say he heard the deal was already done. These ex players and ex coaches have a lot more sources than any of us on a sports forum. So we'll see...

Ole Miss ain’t never won shite. They will lose the first playoff game and Lane won’t be the one coaching them.

Cannot forget how the USC 2012 season imploded. Pre-season #1 based on 18 returning starters from an 11-2 team. Finished 7-6. Many games were blowouts and the team was soft and undisciplined. USC acted like complete pre-madonna d-bags at the Sun Bowl...late for nearly every social engagement, excessive whining by players, etc. Entire sold-out stadium, less the 1 or 2 USC fans that travelled from SoCal, was happy GA Tech kicked their arrogant arse.

He's not leaving. His antics are bargaining tools for getting more money out of Ole Miss. And for trolling Tigah and gator fans in the process.

Do you think Kiffin would do better here, and why? Just asking, I have some doubts about him being our coach.

Folks will say and are saying, Lane is a different person now. I think Lane is who he is and always was. He may not be as extreme in that regard as he's grown older but I don't think the core of who he is has significantly changed.

As I said - there's a 20-year track record of him as a head coach to go by, yet somehow he still gets the shine - folks love the flashy offensive dudes - so he's going to get paid for this year his best year - as if it's the norm.....it's not - and one of these teams will again find out the hard way by overpaying in both years and dollars.

One wonders, at least I do, had the starter not gotten hurt....how things would have played out for Ole Miss this year?

He has pissed off a lot of OM fans

I also don’t think he’s leaving.

Having said that, I have zero information. It’s an opinion based on nothing concrete.

But you will have tons of people downvote you simply because their desires outweigh your opinion.

It’s all about money. Winning championships is something coaches say in press conferences and we fans like to believe but it doesn’t matter.

I could see Kiffin staying for the long term job security. OM will keep him as long as he’s always in the championship conversation. He’ll get good raises because of drama like this every year. LSU will expect him to win championships and if that doesn’t happen he’ll be gone. He could actually make more money in the long run at OM.

Lane Kiffin is a winning coach. He's proved that. TigerNation would love a winnng coach like him on the LSU sidelines on a "Saturday Night in Death Valley". However, he needs to honor his contract with OM, at least through the end of this season. And I believe he will do that, with a very good chance that OM will win it all.

But when this season is over........all bets are off and it's huntin time.
