As a broke college student, my Sunday routine after a big home game victory was to swing by the LSU gift shop outside Mike's cage for discounted game day shirts. I was recently going through my closet and came across this piece.

Do they still make game day shirts?

I went to LSU during the Dark Ages (Curley Hallman Era). I used to purchase these on campus all the time.

Can’t remember why I ever threw them away. They were the stylin’ pocket tee that everybody wore at that time.

The first shirts I remember had “Dr. Nole” for the 1989 FSU game.

When I was at LSU, I don’t remember anything like these. Im a younger guy, would’ve loved these when I was in school there

Was at that game with my Dad somewhere in the 600s.

One of the greatest memories of my life. I’ll never forget Flynn to Byrd in the back of the endzone and my dad picking me up and shaking me like a damn rattle

Yeah wonder why they stopped, feel like if someone did do a limited supply on home games they’d make some decent cash.

I’m sure with all the licensing bs now a days it’s impossible and bootlegs get shut down asap is my only thinking

My son still has one from the Auburn game in 2001 that was rescheduled due to 09/11.

Same. I did buy a "Join Jerry's Journey, Back to number 1" shirt.

I was in the student section. Felt like Byrd caught that ball in my fricking lap. Such an insane season of home games

Do you know what date is on the shirt, if it has one. Sept 15 or Dec 1?

I think if LSU sold limited edition gameday shirts for each P4 game, say 5,000 shirts each game, people would begin collecting them.

And have them not be ugly as frick.

Bands do this for concert specific posters and their fans stand in huge lines for them.

I miss the days of game day shirts! Was it Tiger District that sold them?

Yes, they also had their own version of game day shirts. I bought a few from Tiger District but liked the ones sold at the LSU gift shop a little more.

I have the LSU/Auburn shirt that says September 15th, 2001. It was supposed to be the "Gold Game" and everyone was going to wear these shirts. They were a terrible mustard yellow color.

They used to always sell those outside of CEBA. I never bought one but wish I would have.
