Ruby throated first arrived in my yard on February 16 in Lafayette Parish. Have had them everyday since. Rufous hummingbirds left a few days after the rubys arrived.

The Rufous hummingbirds that were wintering in my azaleas left as soon as the Ruby Throated started to show up which was about 2 weeks ago. In Lafayette parish.

I have two juvenile rufous hummingbirds wintering in my overgrown azaleas. The feeders have been freezing up the past two nights so I keep one inside and bring it out when the other freezes. Constant rotation. They are feeding like crazy in this cold weather. Please put your feeders out if you see them.

To those who didn’t donate but would still like to purchase the hat I found it for sale at Bengals and Bandits for $30.
Love the logo but the hat with the puffy front is not my style. Hopefully they use the logo on different style hats and clothing in the future.
