Wow, your Great Grandfather was Vince Lombardi?

My grandfather grew up in McComb and was a diehard Ole Miss fan. Despised Billy Cannon. Somehow he ended up taking his kids to Billy Cannon for braces after they settled in the BR area. Times were tough and Billy Cannon took care of them. My grandfather loved Billy Cannon and sung his praises until the day he (grandfather) passed away. CSB.

What good memories! Very special, my brother and I are also "Dixie Rats" - fond term for folks from that area of North Baton Rouge. Brother played football with George Rice at Istrouma.

Do not remember a Winbourne Elementary. I lived in the neighborhood and went to Istrouma. First grade thru high school

Winbourne Elementary has been on Winbourne Avenue since before 1965. It is just down from Winbourne Baptist Church.
