it was mostly a new offensive line against baylor in bowl game
they did ok, granted it was baylor
I think when they settle on the right 5 it has the makings of being a good enough OL

my bigger concern is still at S, until I see those guys do it on the back end of the defense in sec play I will have concerns but hopefully a better pass rush from new DE's will help

I actually think the O-line will be fine by end of fall camp.

I’m more concerned with the lack of explosive plays by GN…he has to be able to hit the deep throws because they will be open this year…that will be the difference between this team being very good and great

Don’t think this is breaking news.. losing two 3 year starters at tackle is a big deal. When Chester is your most tenured starting OL under Davis, that can be scary. Hopefully, guard will help him out.

This. As long as Chester is one of the 5 best we have, then I am concerned. He was putrid last year in all aspects, and if we cannot find better, we will be in for a long year.

Does that include though Moore and Thompson? Also I think Curne pushes for playing time early in the season at IOL.
Any word on Ethan Calloway? I never have heard a word from him on practice reports. Probably not a good thing, he was a 4 star and now RS fresh

Sigh

The transfers have only been here a couple of months… gonna take summer and fall camp to see better chemistry.

Nuss is a short/medium accuracy thrower with deep strength but no touch.

There were multiple instances last season where he hit A1, Hilton and even Parker in stride on beautiful deep balls. It 100% had to do with not having Hilton to take the top off the defense. Nic Anderson, Brown and Hilton will help the deep balls.

Im not about to whine about the Spring offensive line situation. The Staff obviously shuffled the Oline the entire spring to keep guys engaged, keep the from jumping in the portal, and creating a depth issue. An offensive line needs chemistry as an unit. When the dust settles... Adams, Chester, Moore, Thompson, Davis will be the first 5 in August and they will have 3-4 weeks to build chemistry for Week 1.

Seriously?

My fat arse could have ran behind Faneca and McClure. 2003 were absolute beasts. 2019 doesn't get enough credit from our fans even after winning the Joe Moore award.

We had some incredible road graders under Miles. To be as good as we were when everyone in the stadium knew the play was pretty damn impressive.

I'm leaving out some great lines because I don't want to be here all day, but I think my point is proven.

I asked a question, you only gave me 2003 and 2019, so I guess that's a "no".

Hard to tell if our front 7 is just that good or if we should be concerned about the OL at this point

It's definitely the OL.

I'm not saying the DL is not good...but on paper the OL was a question mark, it was a problem last year in the run game and our two best players in pass protection are gone.

Here comes BK with more excuses of why LSU loses the opening game because the OL is young and he didn't expect it to be this depleted going into the year.

I think OL going to be painful for LSU first half of the year. Not that it lacks talent, more that it takes time to mesh well together. Sucks with Clemson being your first game so better mesh well fast or it's going to be painful again.

Tired of making excuses for Davis. Either it gets done this year or maybe LSU needs to start looking elsewhere. We'll see how it rolls out.

If someone has to lay out the historic lineman and lines LSU has had, then brother you’re on the wrong board.
