yeah it’s a big field, but that means lots of room for doubles in the gap.

I like that we can do a little bit of everything at the plate.

Dang so OU field is bigger than Alex Box. Gonna be a ton of warning track power in this series I’m afraid

And OU is a small ball kind of offense.

Defense needs to be sharp, and we may see more stealing and bunting in this series due to the weather, the park, and the opponent.

Bingo. Football and men's basketball are the money makers for pretty much every athletic department out there. Not many schools make a profit on baseball, we're one of those few.

The past few years even LSU has lost money on baseball.

i saw a regional last year or within last few years and balls were flying out of that park. Of course it was hot and in June. I worried about the cold when I saw this on the schedule.

Florida’s stadium is a Mickey Mouse stadium and they have a natty. LSU and a select few are special to play college baseball at.

at our heart, this team is about getting on base enough that any hit can make them pay.

looking at some of our weakest offensive performances.

2 runs game 3 against Texas.

7 hits only 2 walks.

2 runs against Mississippi State
7 hits 0 walks 2 homers.

so what really kills us is a big strike zone because we are good at drawing walks.

There is a picture of the stadium on the first page of this site right now. It looks like a good playground stadium.

Man idk even about that. ULL’s capacity is 2x what OU is.

At the risk of creating some vitriol to all things Ragin Cajun, the Tigue is absolutely a SEC caliber ballpark. Nobody else in the sun belt has anything like what we got. Check out Troy, Texas state, south Alabama, coastal Carolina and you will see ballparks on par with Oklahoma

It's simple. Baseball is a non profit sport, so many schools don't invest in it as much as LSU.

Sure it’s on par with Oklahoma but that’s the whole point of this thread. Oklahoma’s park is one of the lowest if not the lowest parks in the SEC.

I will agree that ULL’s park is definitely top tier in the G5 ranks. Coastal’s looks nice and in the same vein as ULL.

We saved money by not putting in chair back seating and by using a giant trash bag for the batters eye

We have more chair back seats than their capacity.

Tiger Takeover from us Texas folks.

My wife(no pics) is an OU fan. We're going to the lsu-ou football game, and I really wanted to make the Saturday baseball game as a trial run for good spots. Too much going on to make it work.

I made the Friday night baseball game in Austin. That'll have to do for this season.

I don’t disagree that the Tigue is a great stadium, I just don’t like the artificial turf.

I participated in a showcase there right after they installed it way back when I was in high school and damn near slid past 2nd into the outfield.

Guess what Colenal Sanders ..mama's wrong again
Here's a breakdown of the LSU baseball revenue and expenses:
Revenue: $8.6 million
Expenses: $9.9 million
Profit/Loss: The team lost $1.9 million during coach Jay Johnson's third season, though they nearly broke even the year before.

I was going to drive up to Norman tomorrow, but the rain chances kept me from going. I have a feeling games might not start until 9:00 or later like last weekend. I’ll wait and go down when the Tigahs play the Gumps in a few weeks.

Most schools don't have enough capacity to have seats over there.
