4 runs in the 1st 2 innings Thursday with 0 hits. Has been an abysmal offensive wknd. Pitching has been great for the most part.

I rarely place the importance of any single inning over the other, but this inning is do or die for this team. They havent clawed back in a game all season. Which is a sign of a bad team. Do it or not, i think its all on this inning coming up if they are going to be a good, host type team. If they cant, theyll be fighting to make a regional.

Berry and McManus were awful in 2022, and so was Thompson at short. Doughty was average defensively. Morgan is the only thing that saved that team from themselves in the infield. Still, that team had a fielding % in the .950s until the last month of the season

Bide has a few bad ones in this game but overall he has blocked a lot and actually looks better. He needs to continue to improve. He had a lot of critical blocks in this game that prevent runs. The pitchers were able to get out of the innings.

Unless they are able to hit a HR, I am just not sure how they score a run in the 9th. They simply can’t consistently hit.
