Straight out of lester's mouth at the halftime interview. Holly Rowe asked him about the fournette flea flicker play. His reply was that he gave cam the go ahead to do it. Now that we can finally put that to rest. I think Les is finally starting to understand that to be successful in the present SEC that opening up this offense is the way to go. I will finally admit as a negatiger" In Les I trust"

Finally if we are gonna win the championship this year our special teams HAS GOT TO BE FIXED. Anyway great win and

Everyone already knew this except you. Cam calls the plays, relays it to Miles and Miles gives it the ok. Miles also has the ability to say, "I don't like the call. Let's run the ball here."

I would say Miles trust Cam and goes with his call about 85% of the time.

Or maybe he just gets asked anytime the play call is something crazy.

I'm a Miles supporter, but I don't think this proves anything.

You don't think that maybe that holds true just for trick plays? Or do you seriously think Les has to ok every single play?

I'm sure he "okays" plays like that, but there is no way that Cam has to run every play by him for approval before he calls it.

Back handed compliments are a bitchy way to make an argument. Why would Cam need to check with Les if it is a run of the mill play. Of course you would consult your head coach on a flea flicker or fake punt. Your disdain for Les does not negate the fact the Les is the head coach and is ultimately responsible for the play calling.

The "head coach" does have the right to do as he pleases. I'm pretty sure that in a unique situation, on a big down, or etc that Les is in on the discussion of what play is called.

I love Les, but I don't wanna hear Hanagriff on 98.1 talking about how Peveto scouted the fake field goal well, and that the heat is off because that phase of special teams needs to be praised for the game winning TD.

Sure, it was a special teams play. But Les called it. Peveto didn't do shite.

I thought it was established that Cam made the calls, that they went through Miles' headset and that in fairly rare occasions he would override them.

Is something new happening or have posters been hibernating and are just waking up after sleeping for a couple of years.

Even the peabrained mouth breathing fans know the head coach has the final word on plays. He's not calling them but he will overrule. This is every team in college football.

Nothing new. Just the rant once again proving how stupid and clueless many posters here are!

on a trick play you dumb frick., Cam calls the plays. He called the 2nd quarter, which he did great at as well as the second half, which he sucked at. Cam is the OC. He is responsible for the offense. This is Cams offense. He is an alledged pro style guru according to the 'in the know' posters on this site.

This. I'm the CEO/President of my own company and the Vice President of an international company. I give the leadership employees under me full capabilities to make their own calls based on our business plans and their position responsibilities. However, if they're going to make a risky business call, they will definitely confer with me prior to doing so. The same goes for CFB coaches and their staffs. Would you give your assistant coaches full reigns to do whatever they want? I seriously doubt it. You wouldn't be a head coach for long.

The only fans that make a big deal of this are probably fans that haven't been in any type of leadership role in the life. I'm not bashing anyone. This is how business works and CFB is definitely a business. Les Miles is the boss of his employees...period. Business decisions run through him. This goes for every head coach from peewee league up to the NFL.
