I respect your program. I don’t respect comments like these. It’s like when a recruit tweets “respect my decision.” Just sounds demanding and it’s off-putting IMO. But rest assured I respect the hell out of Miami and coach Richt.

I dont Understand this take that Miami is some weak team?

Yeah they got blew out by clemson and loss by 10 to pitt and 10 to Wisconsin. But couldn’t we say the same about LSU who lost to Troy and in the game I watched they ran all over LSU. Also the 30 plus point loss to Mississippi? What about all of that?

Last 3 games of the season depth obviously took a toll on the offense as we were missing our top 3 options, starting tailback coming into the season was out, star receiver was out and a tight end that was drafted in the 4th round who was a focal point in the passing game as well as blocking was out too. We didn’t have the depth to sustain those injuries and still perform at a high level on offense now we do. To add to that Rosier had a shoulder injury in the unc game that affected him the rest of the season and he was abysmal for the last 3 games. In addition to that our defense didn’t play up to their standards either in those games. They will be ready period .

Both teams evenly matched IMO. Talented, but some questions. You're 3 point favorites, when this is supposed to be our worst team in 20 years according to most opinion havers.

LSU fans often make this same excuse, but on the defensive side, for our embarrassing showings vs. Mississippi State and Troy. We were down to three total interior DL for most of those two games due to injuries/suspensions.

At full strength, both teams have the talent to be excellent, but both teams can be inconsistent, and both teams have some questions.

So all in all nobody knows what will happen but on paper it should be a close game.

I can't fricking wait for this game. I think our front seven is gonna be 2011 good. Maybe even better. The 2011 defense had a RIDICULOUS secondary, the front seven was great as well but this LSU team this year may rival it in terms of talent. Only in the front seven though. Greedy is elite as a corner but that's about all we got at that spot at the moment. Kary Vincent could be an excellent nickel corner in my opinion. Grant Delpit needs to take the next step and he could be an all sec safety.

Bottom line, we'll have one of the best defenses in the country.

DE- Rashard Lawrence (5 star)
NG- Ed (5*), Shelvin (5*), Fehoko (top 50 player)
DE- not sure who's gonna be here
F LB- Divinity (5 star)
MLB 1- Devin White (best lb in the nation)
MLB 2- Jacob Phillip's (5 star)
Buck LB- K. Chaisson (5 star)

Serious talent.

Donte Jackson wasnt that good is kinda crazy to me. He wasnt a bonafide superstar but the kid was an extremely solid corner. Just couldn't catch an interception to save his life. The second half of the Auburn game last year might be one of the best performances

Jackson has physical talent but mentally he gave up a lot of big plays and penalties that cost LSU some games. If someone can fix this issue he will be a starting corner. Playing great for one game does not make you a good corner.

Of course not. But to say he was some type of scrub is ridiculous. Some of y'all must be trying to compare this kid to Patrick Peterson or Morris Claiborne. I'd take him back this year in a heartbeat.

I'll respect you as a person and Miami fans both as fans and as people (hell, even the coaches and players I respect as people).

My most vivid recollection of Miami football was LSU playing backups in the 4th quarter of a 40-3 bowl win during our worst season with Miles as coach.

Who knows what to expect with the new regime, but if Miles were still coach I'd expect a win by at least two touchdowns.

Bottom line, if Miami wins or plays respectably, I'll respect the team and program. I already respect the coach. Just need to see where we're at against an ACC team not named Clemson to really get a feel for either team.

Typically, it was Big 10 teams that have given LSU trouble. We've owned the ACC aside from Clemson during the Miles and start or the Orgeron era.

Week one will tell us most of what we need to know about the state and direction of both programs.

Never said he was a scrub. But, he was over-rated and did cost us a game or two. Probably middle of pack starting CB for SEC last year.

Ummm...Are you seriously making fun of the Canes head coach calling him a washout? If Richt is a washout then what in the hell do we have?

What's funny is that as of now there have been 62 people upvote that post completely tearing down Miami as a football team. If LSU loses that game, the same 62 people will come back and say LSU lost to a quality top 10 team and that Orgeron deserves more time. It's beyond comical.

The problem with you Scorpio bastards is you're liars & cheats. You fix the star rankings each year especially on this RIVALS student toilet. Only LSU is naïve enough to swallow your sewage
